Drake is laughing all the way to the bank after hitting a pair of hefty six-figure bets on the Denver Nuggets, who won their first NBA title in franchise history over the Miami Heat on Monday night (June 12).
Through his partners at Stake, the 6 God clinched a pair of gambling victories with the Nuggets’ win against the Heat in Game 5 to take home the title.

The first and most lucrative one was a $600,000 win on Denver to win the NBA Finals in exactly five games, while the other earned him $230,000 on the team to win no matter the number of games it took — bringing his total winnings to $830,000.
Some fans were worried that Drake would curse the Nuggets with his bets, while others now believe that title belongs to his “Churchill Downs” collaborator Jack Harlow.
Despite one of their worst shooting performances of the season, the Nuggets still won Game 5 by a score of 95-89 to clinch their first championship in front of the hometown Denver fans inside Ball Arena.
Nikola Jokic cruised to an NBA Finals MVP by a unanimous 11-0 vote and led the team with 28 points and 16 rebounds along with 4 assists. The Joker made history as the first player to ever lead the entire NBA playoffs in total points, rebounds and assists for a postseason run.
Prior to the game, Drake hyped the bets on his Instagram Story: “Gotta see this one hit tonight. The Joker, gotta see this one hit. It’s a must!”
Drizzy took to his Instagram Story to follow-up once the victory was clinched with a photo of fellow Canadian Jamal Murray. “CASH ME,” he proclaimed.
With the OVO boss gearing up to hit the road with 21 Savage for their It’s All A Blur Tour later in June, Drake also penned a heartfelt note to his hometown of Toronto.
“Goodbye my beautiful city. I haven’t left for this reason in almost 6 years but I hope I can make you proud once again,” he wrote. “I love you all. Have an amazing summer and pls try to take care of each other. See you in October. 6.”
