Drake’s ‘One Trick Ponies’ Post Was Apparently Aimed At Joe Budden

Drake‘s recent post taking aim at “one trick ponies” was apparently meant for Joe Budden and not other rivals such as Kendrick Lamar.

Earlier this week, the Toronto rap star uploaded another vague post to Instagram featuring the caption: “Goats don’t worry about one trick ponies.”

Many people thought that the post was further proof that Drake has moved on from his feud with Kendrick and was attempting to reassert himself as the one of the greatest rappers of all time.

However, there is a new theory that the post was a shot at Joe Budden, who has never been shy in sharing his opinion about the 6 God.

A clip from Budden’s podcast began recirculating on X (formerly Twitter) and finds him calling Drake a “one trick pony” for his approach to his battle with Kendrick.

“I believe Drake’s ‘one trick ponies’ caption was him letting Joe know he’s caught up on all the podcasts,” the viral tweet read.

Since the feud appeared to come to a close last month, Joe Budden has called out Drake for allegedly ghosting him.

“You know the funniest thing about this?” Budden said in a recent episode of his self-titled podcast. “I’ve been talking to this n-gga throughout the whole beef. That n-gga ain’t speak to me since that battle ended.

“He ain’t hit me at all since that battle ended and I don’t like it. I don’t like that. You should keep the same energy.”

Budden also declared Kendrick the clear winner of the beef and outlined his reasoning: “I think [Kendrick] won this off skill. He was much better than Drake the whole way.

“If I’m battling you, I need to have my options ready for all the variables; Drake didn’t. And if you feel that way, then when I was telling you to stop saying that I’m outside looking for the n-gga that saying he been outside.”

Despite giving the victory to Kendrick, the former Slaughterhouse rapper later defended Drake’s legacy following his perceived defeat and the recent leak of reference tracks that have raised more questions about his pen game.

“I don’t care what Drake does; for me, Drake’s legacy is already kinda cemented. A lot more has to happen for him to look as bad as some of y’all want us to view him as. I don’t think he looks the greatest right now, but I don’t care,” Budden said.

He added: “I don’t care that I don’t think he can rap like he wants to rap. I don’t care that the slaps don’t sound the same. I got ViewsIf You’re Reading This It’s Too LateNothing Was the SameTake CareSo Far Gone.

“I got the music that I need from him. It is phenomenal, no matter who wrote it. It sounds timeless, no matter who wrote it. And it continues to work.”

    1. Drake needs to respect his Father JOE, and stop with all the disrespect… how u done with Kenny but still worried about PAPA JOE? joey jr (drake) needs to get his life together.. Joe is, always was and always will be superior to the drizzler.

    2. All I know is Drake takes another L for wearing those pants to your sons soccer game and hiring a pro photographer to take your pictures instead of, you know, enjoying your sons game without focusing on you. But Drake no nothing bout dat.

      1. Big facts I like how you see things big picture
It’s already very illuminating that Drake was messaging Joe during the Kendrick beef shows he was scared of Kendrick
