Drake Accidentally Called ‘Raper’ By TV News Anchor

Drake was accidentally referred to as a “raper” instead of a rapper by a New York City news anchor this week.

During ABC7’s Eyewitness News segment on Tuesday (May 7), two broadcast journalists discussed the shooting that occurred outside Drake’s Toronto home earlier this week.

“Lot of questions tonight about a security guard who was shot outside of the mansion of the raper — rapper, I should say — Drake, in Toronto,” the anchorman said.

The shooting took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the city’s ritzy Bridle Path neighborhood, which is home to Drake’s “Embassy” mansion.

Rolling Stone confirmed that the victim was Drake’s security guard, who suffered a gunshot wound to his upper chest. He was found unconscious and subsequently rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.

The rapper himself was uninjured during the incident, which is believed to have been a drive-by shooting.

Drizzy’s home was recently used as fodder in his high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar, with the Compton rapper using a satellite picture of the property as the cover art for his scathing diss song “Not Like Us.” Additionally, the image was peppered with several red markers to resemble the ones on sex predator apps. On the songs, K.Dot accuses the 6 God and his associates of being pedophiles.

“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young/ You better not ever go to cell block one/ To any bitch that talk to him and they in love/ Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him,” he rapped.

He also added: “And Baka [Not Nice] got a weird case, why is he around?/ Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles.”

The Canadian superstar refuted the allegations on his response record “The Heart Part 6,” rapping: “I never been with no one underage but now I understand why this the angle that you really mess with/ Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I’m too respected/ If I was fucking young girls, I promise I’d have been arrested/ I’m way too famous for this shit you just suggested.”

Police were previously called to the rap star’s sprawling Toronto home in 2021 when an armed stalker struck a private security guard with a metal pipe while attempting to trespass onto the estate.

The culprit was arrested and the metal pipe, along with a knife, were seized as evidence — fortunately for the “hotline Bling” hitmaker, she didn’t get anywhere near her intended target.

“The perpetrator did not get anywhere near Drake,” a source told the Toronto Sun. “In fact, the intruder did not make it past the front gate.”

    1. kendrick lamer played his last show. good luck trying to see him play again. that shit is getting shot all the way the fuck up. every tough guy in the world will have kendrick show mark on the calendar. he’s a dead man.

      1. I bet you’re the white dude that was crying during his streaming session defending Drake. Bwuahahahahaha? What? You going to take out Drake with a soup and salad you Panera looking bish?

      2. I ain’t gone do a damn thing. I know for a fact Drake can take care of himself. Good for all of you who think he’s Justin Timberlake with braids. That ain’t it. Folks in Toronto already know you can’t pull Drake’s card so easy and quick. There’s a reason Drake exists.

      3. okay buddy… #1 song in canada and toronto is “Not like Us” he can’t even sleep comfortably in toronto. Take the L and go to sleep

      4. we know he’s dead. kendrick is someone who can’t show his face anywhere. that’s all. big price to pay to impress you but people are stupid especially black americans. dumbest people on the face of the earth. never saw a white man you couldn’t bend over for and never saw a black man you loved

      5. Kendrick had to rip off a classic song from 15 years ago called rack city to achieve the no.1 spot. Also, I can get a no.1 single to by talking shit about taylor swift, doesn’t mean that my career or kendrick’s career will be as good as drake’s

    2. If all you had to do to defeat Drake was pose sassy and say “white boy” over and over with your fingers in your ears – he would have never gotten out of Toronto.

    3. Drake is a small hat. Noah 40 the producer is also a small hat. I am a black man.
