Young Money signee Drake has revealed the name of the first single from his upcoming debut, Thank Me Later, as well as the track’s producer.
According to Rap-Up.com, the Toronto rapper’s next single will be titled “Over,” and will be produced by Boi-1da. Boi-1da crafted two of Drake’s biggest hits, “Best I Ever Had” and “Forever.”
“Before I start working a single, I need to get about 10, 15, 20 songs done so I can pick from a batch of music as opposed to just committing to something right now,” said the young rapper to Rap-Up.com earlier. “It takes a lot for me to put a song onto that list. It’s gotta be a real great song. It’s gotta be something that I feel is timeless and is better than anything that I’ve ever done.”
Thank Me Later is expected to drop sometime in the spring, and will feature artists such as Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne and The-Dream, as well as boasting production from the likes of Kanye West, Noah “40” Shebib and Tone Mason.
Not really feeling Drake, but this album might sway my opinion. Big up Boi-1da and Tone Mason!
Drake’s OK. He’s got some heat here and there. I really hope the album lives up to its hype though. I don’t want another bad album that gets tons of hype regardless.

wouldnt be surprised if this album sucks dick. he’ll probably still sell even if it does. because of all that hype. so far gone only had 7 songs so let’s see if the album shows some consistency

Exactly my point dog. it only had 7 good songs. Like I said. Lack of consistency in the mixtape. The official release only had 7 songs because there were only 7 hot songs on the full length mixtape.

Obviously if they say “i wasnt feeling him before but i might give him a listen because of xyz prodcuer/other rappers” thats a change of heart. Yea Im lookin forward to the album.Im a Drake fan,and I do agree wit yall,the hype has died down a notch and he should have dropped it 3rd or 4th quarter last year.But according to Drake,he wants to make ‘Timeless’ music…so that gave him reason to take a xtra long time on his debut.Cuz if he doesnt go at least ‘Gold’ his 1st week,everybody will say he ‘failed’ and all that bullshit.
