Drake And Nicki Minaj Interview Each Other

MTV News caught up with label mates Drake and Nicki Minaj recently in New Orleans before a show on the I Am Music 2 Tour. In a twist instead of having correspondent Sway interview the two superstars the two rappers asked each other a few questions each.

Drizzy wanted to know if Nicki was planning on dropping any new material any time soon. She responded, “Well, you know, Drizzy, I have been keeping everything sort of stored inside of me. So I’m just in complete tour mode. I’ve been getting a lot of requests to do some features, but if I can’t give myself wholeheartedly, you know, I always pass. I definitely never want to be just doing too many features that they start getting watered-down and I’m not giving my whole, true self…[But] when my Young Money and Cash Money family calls me I hope on the jet and get it done ” When pressed by Drake to commit to whether she would make time to record a cameo on his upcoming sophomore release, Take Care, Nicki playfully answered, “I gotta check if I can pencil you in.”

Next it was Drake’s turn on the hotseat. Minaj asked the Canadian emcee how it felt to be on stage and back with his friends on the roster. He enthused, “I truly enjoy these moments, especially being in New Orleans. Actually, New Orleans was the first place that I ever really realized that my music was getting out there. I remember walking outside the W, and there was a guy out there selling mixtapes and he had So Far Gone. I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t even mad. You usually think you’ll be mad when there’s a bootlegger, but I was super excited.” The I Am Music 2 Tour hits Phoenix tomorrow night and continues across the country until May 1st.

    1. These guys dont make most classic records. These guys arent claiming to be better than the ones that came before them. And they damn sure arent the best lyricists in the game. They stay in their lane. Make music for their fans and are having fun doing it. Niggas hate cus these guys are on top but the fact of the matter is these guys were working the hardest and their stars aligned to where theyre able to get their stuff out on major outlets to where it seems like theyre all over the place.

Now for those of you who dont like that, guess what…theres more music out there. We all know the labels control the airwaves and if its not the labels, the djs are just basically dick riding whats hot. If youre tired of Young Money, look up other music. There are millions of people out there doing music. Quit being lazy and look for good music and stop waiting for something new to be brought to you

Here comes the hate in 5…4…3..2..1..
