Producers are the subject of Green Label’s “A Look At Hip Hop’s 15 Most Influential Producers From The Past Decade.”
“Where there is an endless list of great Hip Hop producers from the past and present, there have only been a select few to shape, shift and redefine the culture as a whole,” Green-Label.com’s story says. “The list includes Just Blaze and Kanye West, both of whom played considerable parts in Jay Z’s classic The Blueprint, and J. Dilla, who some consider to be the most underrated to ever step into a studio.”
Beyond Just Blaze and Kanye West, Rick Rubin also made the list.
“Jay Z was smart enough to recruit him for smash hit ’99 Problems’ from The Black Album,” Green Label says, “and Rick also provided creative input on Magna Carta Holy Grail, Kanye West’s Yeezus, and Eminem’s last album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.”

Hi-Tek, and RZA
How are 40 and Boi-1da not on this list? Drake has had more #1s on the hip-hop charts than any artist ever, plus 40 and Boi-1da produce for other artists. This is some bullshit…
It says Hip Hops 15 Most Influential Producers From The Past Decade, which those two fairies you named aren’t. Besides, Drake has no #1 hits.
A quick google search will reveal that Drake has had more #1’s on the Billboard Hip-Hop Charts than any artist ever. Keep staying delusional.
Sellouts like Eminem get #1’s on the Billboard Hot 100 because they make pop music. Drake on the other hand makes hip-hop music.
Drake still has no #1. Besides, the charts are irrelevant when it comes to music. Also, Eminem isn’t a sellout and he doesn’t make pop music. Drake doesn’t make hip-hop music, he makes R&B/pop.
Oh, so Bad Guy, Rap God, Brainless, Evil Twin, Groundhog Day, etc., are pop music while Hold On, We’re Going Home is hip-hop music? If Eminem is a so-called sellout, then so is Drake.
They’re both pop.
I hope this is just a troll. Saying drake is Hiphop but Eminem is pop? What a fuckin dumbass. I won’t even waste my time arguing.
Bullsh!t list.
The past decade is 2004-2014 and they got marley marl & rick rubin up there
These people don’t seem to understand what a decade is. They credit producers for what they did decades ago
just blaaaze!
wackness at its best my g
Rick Ruben??? GTFOH …SMH
Why the fuck isn’t Alchemist on this list?
Do you know alchemist is em’s tour dj? Most of em’s fans dont, dont even listen to his beats
He doesn’t deserve to be on this list as long as his beats continue to suck.
Why do they include Rick Rubin like he was a big part of the last decade? Just to add a white boy to the list? This is Hip Hop! He hasn’t done sh*t in the past decade. He had a few joints with the Beasties back in the day, but the Kanye joints were just ok to me.
Where the fuck are DJ Mustard, Mike Will and Young Chop on this bullshit list? They have been dropping hit after hit…
They’re not on the list because they suck and always make the same shit.
Haha, this must be the best joke of the decade!
