According to Allhiphop.com, Dr. Dre will be releasing his own brand of cognac at the beginning of next month. The alcoholic beverage, to be called Aftermath Cognac, is the producer’s first venture into drinks, and will include backing by Interscope, Geffen, and A&M Records.
This is not the first time Dre has forayed into projects other than music. Last year he partnered with Dr. Pepper and presented his successful Beats By Dr. Dre head phones.
Aftermath Cognac was originally slated to release with Dre’s Detox album, but will now precede the LP’s release.

Lets see, Eminem blew up and quickly became the best selling artist in rap & hip-hop. Then they sign 50 Cent who ends up selling 20+ million records world wide off his first 2 albums!!! I think between Em & 50 they sold 50million+ records by 2005!!!!!!!!
Dre can take all the time he wants. He’s got to be under so much pressure. He has the ability to make an album that will dictate the direction of an entire industry for the next 2-7 years. Not a lot of people, if any, have that much power in what they do.

If you have ever been to a hip hop concert you know that the artist will never come out on stage if the crowd isn’t going crazy, yelling their name. That’s what Dre is doing.
