Game may not have collaborated with Dr. Dre on his upcoming album Jesus Piece, but he’s got the Doc’s stamp of approval.
Chuck Taylor took to Twitter this weekend to post a screenshot from his phone where the N.W.A. veteran praised the LP.
“Your album is Dope,” wrote Dre. “The song with the D’Angelo sample [‘All That’] is fuckin Crazy. Great job. Congratulations!!!!” Game responded with a few words of appreciation: “Couldn’t do it without you Doc. Compton !!!”
Jesus Piece, which marks the completion of Game’s contract with Interscope Records, features guest appearances from a slew of artists including Kanye West, Common, Jamie Foxx and more.

It’s filled with Game doing his best impression of every other rapper and the production is lackluster.
“Scared Now” – wack, fake MMG beat, Meek Mill can’t save this one
“Ali Bomaye” – probably the tighest song on the album. Good verses by Game here
“Jesus Piece” – aight, lame verses by Game, swagger jacking Kanye on the hook,might as well have had Kanye do the whole hook, Common verse is aight
“Pray” – aight, but such a shameless Drake impression from Game, both on the beat and the delivery. So shameless it’s distracting. Tight verse from Cole though.
“Church” – wack, nothing more to say
“All that (Lady)” – extremely wack, all of the verses suck. Ruined a classic song. Why god? WHY???

Why should someone put in work to deliver you a new album just so you can turn around and download it for free? Unless you’re homeless, or have 10 kids like DMX, you should be able to afford to buy a few CD’s of your favorite artists. Most are only $9.99.
What does not buying a CD have to do with the FACTS, that artists have the advance, production costs (features, clearances), marketing and promotion (RADIO, web, ads), physical copy manufacturing costs all taken from the sales revenue of said album? Add the contractual agreement percentages (MANY rappers are getting 2-6 CENTS per unit sold and 20-35% publishing) and ANY artist will tell you the money is in touring, appearances, and endorsements. MANY artists were saying this WHEN ALBUMS SOLD, most of the money goes to the label.

Am i the only one who thinks LAX is an underrated album and is far better than RED? i mean there essentially the same structure, but LAX has far better features. Each of them are around 20 tracks and each have about 8 crap tracks, 4 or 5 solid tracks, 4 skits, and 4 really excellent tracks. the difference is in the features. RED features include multiple lil wayne tracks, young jeezy, rick ross, tyler the creator, drake and chris brown (to be fair, it has dr dre and kendrick lamar as well) . In comparison, LAX features ice cube, raekwon, common, DMX, nas and ludacris. so why is RED seen as better?

The albums alright just not as good as I expected it to be. Many people called it his best album since “The Documentary”. I laughed at those responses cuz they must have forgot about “Doctors Advocate”. In my honest opinion I think Game could have done without the large quantity of guest features. Hes capable of crafting good albums on his own. Unfortunately hes a tend hopper and that greatly affects his music and the perception he sets off with his fans.
Games a good rapper but if you continue to overload your albums with guest features then its not really YOUR album. You can’t be a Dr. Dre because he creates classic material that STILL stands to this day. An artists album is a testament to his body of work, his art and understanding. If you fill it with other guests then its no longer your body of art.
I hope Game understands this cuz you said you were rededicated to Hip Hop on the R.E.D album yet it didn’t live up to the standards you portrayed. If you were really rededicated then you would have stopped following trends. You can’t keep on following Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. They aren’t good rappers as you are which is why they can’t hold an album by themselves to which is why they have an abundance of guest features. Game just DO YOU and you’ll see the difference in how many fans come back to you.

The biggest problem with Game is he lacks confidence in himself. Heres another good album that he cant completely take credit for. The tracklist itself can easily be mistaken for a DJ Khaled release. How can the listener connect with you when youre hiding behind features? Also, he lacks lyrical identity. At any given moment, he morphs into your favorite rapper and loses himself. This has always been a huge issue for the Compton representer, but now being 5 albums in, he comes off as the kid that keeps repeating the 4th grade for the same mistakes; he should just know better by now.
