Gaga, along with Monster and Dre have developed a new line of headphones called Heartbeats, which are tangle-free and triangularly-shaped on the outside. The singer refers to them as a celebration of “the art and lifestyle of music.”
“In the deepest hour of the night, I confess to myself three things: I would die if I was forbidden to write, forbidden to love, or forbidden to fashion,” explained Gaga via statement “Heartbeats embody the trinity of my human being, with one additional vow: that sound matters. Wear Heartbeats, love each other, and celebrate the art and lifestyle of music.“
The headphones, which are due to hit stores in October, retail from $99 to $149, and come in white, black or red.
Dr. Dre also announced that an entry-level version of the Beats By Dr. Dre headphones, called Beats Solo, would be avilable soon.
“For Beats Solo, Dre and I worked along with Monster to create the best sound possible in light, comfortable but powerful headphones,” intimated Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M, via statement.
The headphones will feature “ControlTalk,” an on-cable feature which allows users using portable music devies or 3GS iPhones to access their music and answer phone calls without reaching for the phone itself, with the help of an integrated high-grade microphone.
Beats Solo retails between $179 and $219, and will be available in November.
