Almost 20 years ago to the date, DOOM [click to read] (then as Zev Love X) appeared on 3rd Bass‘ hit single “The Gas Face.” With a three-decade career begininng in a feature, the Atlanta-by way of New York-by way of London emcee and producer is gearing up to release Unexpected Guests on October 27 through Gold Dust Media.
The 13 track collection includes guest work, unheard live performances, and remixes. Highlights include the “Sniper Elite,” a collaboration rumored to be from the Def Jam sessions of the Ghostface/DOOM [click to read] album. A live performance of DOOM‘s early solo work “I Hear Voices” is also included. Other tracks come courtesy of Count Bass D, Vast Aire, John Robinson [click to read], Talib Kweli and Masta Killa.
DOOM reportedly oversaw this project.
