Donald Trump spoke to Rolling Stone about Kanye West announcing his run for the 2020 presidential campaign at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“I was actually watching,” the 2016 presidential candidate says, “I saw him do it. And I said, ‘That’s very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea.'”
The awards show host, Miley Cyrus, said that she was going to switch her vote from Trump to the rapper.
“It sounded like she was all made up for me and he took her away,” the real estate mogul says.
Trump also says that he knows West personally and that the G.O.O.D. Music boss is not the person he is portrayed to be.
“He’s actually a different kind of a person than people think,” he says. “He’s a nice guy. I hope to run against him some day.”
