Doja Cat has been known to troll both online and in her music since the start of her career, and her latest “interview” is certainly no different — check out the clip below.
Dressed as her Carrie-esque alter ego used in her Scarlet promotion, Doja interviewed herself in a video posted to her YouTube on Monday (November 13). While the questions she asked were mainly based on real happenings in the “Attention” rapper’s life, her answers most certainly were not.

“Some people were saying that because you shaved your eyebrows and your head, that it’s because you’re crazy?” she asked herself, to which she responded, “I don’t shave my vagina. There’s so much hair that I could have it braided. I’m not a hairstylist. I’m just not. And so there’s no getting me off which is like, a problem.”
She later asked herself about the fact she lost over one million followers since the summer. While it actually started with a rant against her fans and continued with her dark and cryptic presence on social media thereafter, Doja had a totally different – and fake – reason why.

“Because I posted a picture of Whoopi Goldberg’s nipples to Instagram,” she explained. “Because they were kind of sexy.”
It wasn’t all jokes, however, as she did seem to speak truthfully when asked how she separates Doja Cat the artist from her real self.
“I don’t separate it,” she confirmed. “I didn’t used to write as myself. I used to write as what I thought was appropriate and what I thought was going to be eaten up. But I feel like I’m in another vein of life. I can express myself as me and I have never been so comfortable.”
Doja Cat has expressed similar sentiments about her old work before, and even just recently hinted at one of her biggest solo hits being a money ploy when her Scarlet Tour hit Denver.
“Come on cash grab,” she said as she launched into her 2020 smash “Say So.”
Back in May, the singer and rapper said in a series of since-deleted tweets that some of her early work was made for the money.
“Planet Her and Hot Pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it,” she wrote about her second and third albums. “now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”
“Say So” is one of Doja’s best-selling songs to date. The 6x platinum track arrived on 2019’s Hot Pink. Nicki Minaj hopped on the remix in 2020, which helped vault the track to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“When I got that beat I went home and I locked myself in my room, and I was like: ‘Let me just open this up on Logic.’ I opened it up, I thought, I mumbled it, that’s how I began, and it just fell together really nicely, lyrically I feel like,” she told MTV of the song’s inception.
“I naturally write ’70s kind of more vintagey, funky music. I feel like that’s kind of my bag and I love it so much. It’s really fun to make.”
