I would have not have guessed that DMX was the literary type. The Yonkers, New York native has penned his memoirs over the last few months and will publish “E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX.” DMX aka Earl Simmons received a helping hand from Smokey D. Fontaine in the writing of the book. That usually means that he just told him stories and Smokey did all the writing. It will be easy to tell, if DMX actually wrote the book then it will have barking in it.
The book will detail the life of Earl Simmons, from his childhood to his early struggles in rap and his eventual rise to superstardom. The 352 page book will be on shelves November 5th. Much like Mase’s autobiography, I’m sure this book will be a must read for all hip hop heads. It doesn’t matter if you like his music or not, I’m sure that it will be an incredible glimpse into the rap world.
