DMX’s 10-year-old daughter has paid a visit to her late father’s gravesite shortly after the second anniversary of the Ruff Ryders legend’s death.
Sonovah Hillman Jr. took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 11) to pay tribute to DMX with a heartwarming post featuring a photo of her posing alongside her dad’s flower-filled tombstone in his hometown of Yonkers, New York.

“Couldn’t pull up to yo city and not see you. Hey daddy,” she captioned the picture, which also shows her wearing an X T-shirt.
His headstone, meanwhile, features an image of the late rapper with angel wings above the words, “The Legend,” along with the Biblical passage Isaiah 54:17, which begins: “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”

According to a video posted to a GoFundMe page, Sonovah recently attended a 10-week program facilitated by Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), where she was schooled about the dangers of drug addiction.
The young girl said she’s preparing a four-part docuseries that will focus on the opioid epidemic in America.

Easter Sunday (April 9) marked two years since DMX passed away at the age of 50 from a drug-induced heart attack at White Plains Hospital in New York.
The Ruff Ryders celebrated the anniversary of X’s death with a Ryde Out event through the five boroughs of NYC.
Plenty of tributes poured in from DMX’s fans, friends and family across the Hip Hop world, commemorating the inspirational “Slippin” rapper.
“Long live my Dog 4 Life @dmx THE GREAT,” close friend and frequent collaborator Swizz Beatz wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photographs of his friend. “we feel you everyday King.”

Another tribute to DMX came from his Ruff Ryders collective, who posted a photo of X’s grave to their Instagram Stories.
“Rest In Peace DMX,” wrote Fake Shore Drive‘s Andrew Barber on Twitter. “Here is one of his earliest known promotional posters from 1992. Long Live the Divine Master of the Unknown!!”
