DJ Vlad has launched a GoFundMe to fund future interviews on his platform, after Boosie Badazz revealed he’s made roughly $500,000 from appearing on VladTV.

Vlad took to Twitter on Monday (November 13) to reveal that thanks to the “Wipe Me Down” rapper snitching about his paycheck, he’ll need to offer his guests a comparable amount in the future, so he’ll have to forgo other expenses.

“Now that Boosie told The Breakfast Club that we pay him $500,000 a year to be on VladTV, all of our other regular guests want the same amount too so we can’t afford to keep our lights on,” he wrote. “We had no choice but to start a GoFundMe to avoid going out of business. Even $1 would help during a time like this. Please help.”

Thus far, only $79 of the $500,000 has been raised. Check out Vlad’s tweet below.

Boosie Badazz spilled the beans on his VladTV payday on the Monday episode of the syndicated radio show.

The Baton Rouge rapper was answering a question from the hosts about whether he would ever do a podcast with his frequent rhyme partner Webbie. He said that he’d only do it if he could be paid millions of dollars.

“Ain’t that kind of money in it,” co-host Charlamagne Tha God said, implying that being paid millions for a podcast was an unrealistic goal.

Boosie replied by talking about his VladTV apperances. “Well I don’t want [a podcast with Webbie],” he said. “I could make half a million with Vlad every year, man. I don’t really need [podcast money]. Vlad help me out a lot more.”

Charlamagne checked one more time to confirm the $500,000 figure, to which Boosie Badazz replied: “Close to it.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Boosie responded to Sexyy Red’s claim that she was a “modern day” version of him.

“I thought about it and I was like, ‘She kinda right!’ Because people respect my ratchetness. You might not like it, you might not like it, but you respect it,” he said, speaking directly to Charlamagne and DJ Envy.

He continued: “I’m not hiding something, I’m not trying to be somebody I’m not. I’m who I am and that’s what Sexyy Red is.”

Sexyy Red’s initial comments came last week when she took to X (formerly Twitter) and crowned herself the “modern day Boosie.”

She didn’t provide any additional explanation, but both rappers have enjoyed success with unapologetic songs like “Wipe Me Down” and “SkeeYee,” while also courting controversy for various comments and antics.
