UPDATE #2: Twenty-two-year-old William Williams, who fatally shot DJ Megatron in the chest back in 2011, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison as part of a plea bargain. If he hadn’t, he could have faced trial on a second-degree murder charge and 25 years to life behind bars.

    1. How do you get shot in a city where guns are outlawed????

Oops!! I guess only the outlaws have guns now.

      1. I would have rather taken the gun charge and had the “siddity wigger bloggers” saying that I was trying to keep up my “gangster image” by carrying a gun instead of getting killed.

      2. How do you get shot in a city where guns are outlawed????

    2. At times, I’d used to listen to him at 5AM while he was on Hot 97 while I was getting ready in the morning to junior high school. He had a show right before the Miss Jones morning show at 6AM. It sucks to hear that he got killed. -___-

      Rest in Peace Megatron.

    3. Imma go out on the limb and say a nigga did this shit. i bet there was reasonable justificatin take the life of a father of three kids. niggas is really doin it rite now. we on out here. a nigga is the thing to be.

      1. That’s because only in hip hop do you have so much jealousy. Shit not just in hip hop.. the black community in general.

If I have a little more than you…. that I worked for… for some reason.. dumb loser ass niggas think it’s ok to try and take mine.

    4. R.I.P DJ Megatron, I hope you have a good time DeeJaying that party in the sky wit Nate Dogg and Pac performing.

    5. megatron was that party dude 4 real! r.i.p. to megatron and i send my condolences to his family

    6. Staten Island? I thought that there was nothing but racist teabaggers and mobsters on Staten Island. Now that the blacks seem to be moving in, expect more of these ghetto-style shootings.

Getting back from a club at 2AM? Probably some drug deal not paid off or banging someone he shouldn’t.

      1. If you knew the history of Staten Island you would know that blacks have been on the Island since the late 1800’s. But that does not matter at the moment.

Your comment reflects on your character, you can post anonymously, but we still see your ignorance.

    7. I would see Megatron around Staten Island alot. I didnt know him personally, but he seemed to be a humble and fair man. Sadly, this will be another homicide that goes unsolved (Very common on Staten Island). Its unfortunate that this happened. My thoughts are with his family and those who knew him well. Im tired of seeing brothers getting murdered in the street.

    8. I only got one Question man, When will it ever change? but yet still they say Nigga dont die but nigga dieing everyday.

      1. And the sad thing about that is many of them don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten SOn that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”.

    9. Hold on dude left his 4yr old kid at home alone to go buy some weed?WTF that’s foul in itself.Put your kids first people!Stop being so irresponsible if he was more concerned with being a good Dad this would not have happened all that aside R.I.P Megatron

      1. Great point. If he would have been a better father and stayed home with his 4-year old, this never would have happened. Now he will never have the chance to be a better father.

      1. how is that bs? the dude did some seriously ignorant shit, you don’t leave a 4 year old child home alone while u go cop some weed. Nobody said it justified the murder… it’s just stupid that he did that and it woulda never happened if he woulda just stayed home where he was supposed to be.

    10. Making pot runs at 2am probably isn’t the best idea, but still a pointless murder. Just rob the guy then.

    11. How do you get shot in a city where guns are outlawed????

    12. Hiphopdx on some other shit lately…how the fuck you know the dude left a 4 year old at home. They have no correspondence…no facts…no 1st eye account…they just talk shit and hope to get viewers…everyone needs to find a new hiphop site…cuz this site is wack city

      1. hey retard. its called a police investigation not dx’s investigation. the police said this not the site. they assume he was going to buy some weed, why else would he be out and in that section of the neighborhood so early in the morning? and if he usually has his child at that time on those certain days that would mean he left it home alone. its an investigation for a reason, that doesnt means it is true it just how it looks at the moment until further evidence is required. they have to start somewhere.

    13. I went to High School in Staten Island… I believe Megatron is from Staten Island.. I think this a case of Someone who came up returning to the old neighborhood..Tryna do things Like you did before U got on.

If Im on & I was copping some weed in Staten Island it would be from a white dude who lives in the suburb part of S.I.

Staten ISland is mostly suburbs but the hood over there is hood.

    14. when you have a white or spanish dealer your safe but when ur in the killah hill projects full of niggas buying weedyou will get shot!!!!

      1. its been made well known who had tupac killed n who had biggie killed…puffy or suge will never get arrested though

      2. Dude, they do know who killed both of them but you have to understand that if that was ever told, America would not be the same. On the west coast, we know who killed Biggie, and why they killed Biggie.

      3. In the case of Biggie, if they published who actually killed him, it would rock the LAPD. Certain detectives there know the real and they hid the real. After the investigation and talking to all the witness (there were about 100 on the street that night)-they come up with nothing when actually some know the truth, but the truth is to close to home. You cannot believe Biggie comes to L.A., and gets shot down and murdered with dozens of witnesses and they can’t find the killer can you?

    15. Friends, Romans, countrymen lend me yo’ eardrums
It was a beautiful day off in the neighborhood
Yellows and greens and blues and browns
and greys and hues that ooze beneath dilapidated woods
Ain’t a thing could explain what pertains
to cocaine it’s a stain that rain
See summer roll around niggaz holla bout change
Then they steady move them ki’s like Bob James
Cause old man winter’s arrived, the temperature dives
      November just died, December’s alive
Thus it ain’t no typical ride
Just individual’s way to bring home
the bacon when bacon was all gone
Makin it our own, takin me all wrong
We’ve all indulged in the bulge of those no-no’s
No you ain’t solo, it’s even lower levels you can go
Take sun people, put ’em in a land of snow
