DJ Khaled Enlists Nas, Kanye West For New Album

DJ Khaled’s albums are known for being star-studded affairs – a trend that will continue with his latest LP, We the Best Forever.

“My album is the most amazing thing ever,” said Khaled in an interview with XXLMag.com.

Though the album will feature the artists that Khaled describes as “the usual suspects” – Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Jadakiss, Fat Joe and Birdman, the Terror Squad deejay revealed that Nas and Kanye West would be joining the fray.

The album will have a bit of a smoother flavor to it as well, as Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole and Mary J. Blige will be featured, though Khaled cautions that it won’t be soft.

“My Chris Brown record is – it’s called ‘Legendary.’ It ain’t R&B, that shit hard but everybody can relate to it.”

      1. Because he has money and he has a radio show in Miami, so artist like to get on his good side so they can get spins. thats how ross came up khalid played his shit like crazy he is the funkmaster flex of miami you couls say. I know khalid is wack but he has what they need money and exposure

    1. Cant wait to hear that nas track ! every track nas has done for khaled has been sick

On another note , what does Khaled actually do apart from shouting We the Best on everything ?
Does he produce beats or what cause i dont hear him spit ?

      1. he is largely just the executive producer. look at the credits, its all runners, cool & dre and so on that are listed.

    2. inside sources claim that the 2 will be the only rappers on the album that know how to rap and are not obese.

    3. Good, last time Kanye was on a Khaled album we got “Go Hard” and everything Nas does for Khaled albums are dope. His albums would be way better if he diversified from the predictable line-ups though. I wish he would get Eminem on a record for the streets like he was talking about a while back, all anyone hears him on anymore is Pop/Rock tinged sh*t.

    4. “My album is the most amazing thing ever,”

what a great quote from the legendary hitmaker dj khaled, best dj in da game for sure!!! LOLZ

      1. Hahaha DJ Khaled is the most annoying faggot ever. His albums are all gay and fake. I thought Nas would be smarter than to work with him but I guess everyone wants some mainstream.

    5. dj khaled sayin his album’s gonna be amazing has made me laugh so hard, i aint laughed that hard since i first saw the hangover

    6. Khaled’s only success comes from the people he worked with, other than that, he’s a trash DJ, do some instrumentals and see how much sell, and they all can’t sound the same lol

    7. Get some different producers that arent cool n dre or the runners and someone on the hook that isnt t-pain or akon and this album will be hot

    8. Khaleds album has decent songs at least I can say…all he doing is just shouting We The Best!!!!!!! Nahhh

    9. well daaamn even the dj gettin hate. one question for u haters. what other dj you know consistently drops number one hits or club bangers??? or drops an album?? what other djs are dropping albums?? go head ill wait…

      1. he has 0 number 1 singles…hes best one hit 19 on the billboard top 100. oh and premo drops albums each year and hes been doin it since 88…and there actually good

      2. A DJ that makes songs thinking he’s from the hood when really he’s not and makes the hood look like chains and cars in his videos? Every song by him has the same garbage cast except for 1 or 2 rappers. Every song sounds the exact same, same hooks, same beats, same everything. Khaled maybe has to do with 2% of the album. What is there to like about this fake fatass.

      1. yeah and they were the best outta the Dj Khaled Cd’s i loved go hard, i loved the one with game and the two he has with Nas. if Khaled wants to make a good ass record. he should do twleve songs as follows
        1.Feat. Rick Ross
        2.Feat.Fat joe
        3.Feat.T-pain and lil Wayne
4.Feat Gudda gudda and Cory Gunz
        5.Feat. Drake and Birdman
6.Feat Kanye West and John legend
7.feat. Nas and Keyshia cole (justcuz it sounds like something Nas would jump on)
8.Feat. Ace Hood(give the nigga something to rap on before i completely give up
        9.J.cole and Jay electronica
10.Big Sean CyHi Da prince and Consequence
11.Monter’s Ball feat Eminem, Kanye, Lil Wayne, Nas, Jay-Z, Slaughterhouse,The Game(i would likeee kill myself for a song like that)
12.just Dj Khaled since the nigguh claims he can rap. or fuck it. do a Terror Squad song with everyone

    10. only cuz kanye on this album i will download that song cuz i dont respect khaled cuz really what does he do he can barely produce he doesnt rap he dere to put he name on the album cuz his name enn something i enn to buying

      1. hate comment right there…who gives a fuck what he does,he makes it happen
u either like it or not but dont hate

    11. It’d be pretty decent of Khaled if he could finally organize an Eminem/Kanye collaberation…why has that not happened sooner anyway? Pretty much everyone else has done a song with each other (and no, songs like ‘Forever’ don’t count. I mean Eminem and Kanye only)

    12. It’s a gawd damn shame that Nas has collaborated more with this clown Khaled in the last few years than DJ Premier or even someone like Just Blaze. What’s he thinking? Why, Nas??

      1. Nas is in fear. He knows he can’t fulfill the expectations people awaiting from him on a track with DJ Premier or someone else like he used to.

    13. I wish this dude would hurry up and have a heart attack from all the big macs and quarter pounders he consumes. Most annoying “dj” since “dj” clue.

    14. i said it before and i say it again…Nas felt off…he said that a Rick Ross song made his Top5 tracks ever….i lost my respect for him

      1. he named his top 10 songs for some magazine, i think it was complex but im not sure, he did name a rick ross song and the lil wayne song “im single”…pretty gay but nas is still the lyrical monster

      2. they were his top songs for the moment, if i remember right he picked im single by weezy because he was newly single comin off that kelis divorce shit

    15. The tracks Nas did with Khalad weren’t terrible, probably the best songs on the album. But yeah, what does Khalad actually do, looking at the tracklists of his previous albums he hardly even produces a track.

    16. This dude have the same artists on every album. Honestly I get tired of that. Put some alot of new artists on your LP along with the artists thats already out.

    17. Tha big question is how can a dumbass like him collabarate with Nas,Kanye and some other good artists? He must be begging them for hours. Whatever since he’ll have plies, waka, fat joe, ross on the album the it’ll mostly suck

    18. this motherfucker khaled moves his head like a fucking parrot. everytime he talks i wanna punch him in the face

    19. *sigh* Didn’t Kanye West and Nas appear on his last albums? What the hell makes them worth announcing on a press release?

I wish this was an April Fools Joke, then it would be funny.

      1. lmfao @ “Dj Donkey Kong”….watch out man somebody will probably think that’s hot and end up using it….it they haven’t already…

the Palestine comment is a little outta line but that DJ Donkey Kong bit had me rollin son…

    20. No hate on Khaled’s album….but I gotta side with a lot of others and ask…What exactly does DJ Khaled do? Does he make beats? Has anyone ever seen him actually use turntables? Was he a radio Deejay or something? I’m just sayin, he calls himself “DJ” Khaled, does he actually deejay or what? Again, no hate against the guy, more power to him as far as business goes…but i really am curious as to what he does music-wise…as far as Nas and Kanye, they were already on his other albums, no surprise, I’ll check stuff out when it drops, give it a listen, then decide if it’s good or not…but seriously WHAT DOES HE ACTUALLY DO????

      1. Hes been a dj on south florida radio stations for awhile. I know somebody that went to high school with him in Orlando. He wasnt living in the hood back then so I wonder why hes in the hood so much now? According to dj khaled himself…he doesnt make beats, he just finds beats and says who should be on the beat. Then pays the rappers to drop a verse on said beat.

    21. WATS UP PEEPLES! ITS YA BWOY DJ KHALED AKA UR FLAVORITE DJ AKA KID JUICE BIG MAC DESTROYER AKA THA BEST! YA BWOY JUST WANTID TO GIV YA THA OFFICUL TRAK LISTENG! AIGHT CHEK IT!

      1. I support Real Hip Hop 100% motherfucker

        Thanks for ruining Hip Hop!

An A&R with no sense discover real talent

You are old enough to know better but you sell out for the $$$$ like every other asshole rapper of today.

    22. The truth hurts!

Khaled does not produce, rhyme or even DJ. Every song is the same lame concept, nothing but apperances by the same lame ass rappers.

Khaled is nothing but a loud mouth asshole with absolutely no talent.

Nas has no business working with Khaled, he truly is now a sell out.

    23. This album is going to suck, his shit is all the same, don’t get me wrong though, i hope the Ye track is good, but i’m sure Khaled will find a way to fuck it up by putting it on the same beat as all his other gay ass songs.

    24. His job is to make other rappers look important. If people buy into that act, that’s not his fault. He’s laughing all the way to the bakery.
