Diddy Discusses Resilience In Music Industry

Even though he is one of the most financially successful figures in Hip Hop history, Diddy is still has more projects on the horizon, including his recently-launched Revolt TV.

In a recent interview with Vlad TV, Diddy explained what keeps his drive alive. “I think the key for me to be able to handle the peaks and valleys of life is my relationship with God, and also my belief on never, never, never giving up,” said Diddy. “I’m just never gonna give up. There’s no reason to give up. It’s not in my DNA.”

Diddy continued, crediting Hip Hop for much of his success. “I’ve been truly blessed,” he said. “I’ve made it through a lot, and I say this all the time: I thank God for Hip Hop. And I thank God for my Hip Hop family, and everyone that has supported me, because I wouldn’t have been able to make it to where I’m at without people believing in my dreams and also supporting things that I’ve had dreams to do.”

Diddy explained that his increased humility and collaborative spirit has allowed him to grow. “You know, I’ve grown a lot, and I’m still the best at taklin’ that shit, but I’m more humble than I’ve ever been, and I’m humbled by just the things that I’ve been able to dream into existence through the help of other people,” he said. “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘team,’ and I have a great team of people around me, and I take pride in my staff. I’ve moved on from just ‘I’ to ‘we.’ I don’t just do it for me and my crew no more. I really do it for us. I know at the end of the day, for some people that sounds good, but that’s my truth. My motivation is, I want to make sure my kids and our kids can see that it can be done. That if you’re a person of any color, and you have a dream in your heart, especially if you’re a person coming from my community, the African American community, where it’s a lot of turmoil and a lot of loss of hope, that there is hope, and you can do anything that you can put your mind to.”

Finally, Diddy added, “I got the same 24 hours as you. We got the same 24 hours. I don’t get no extra time on the clock. …So if you wanna get busy, let’s get busy.”

    1. Diddy is a joke, he signs people like French Montana and MGK then goes on to complain about hip hop. Only reason why he is pretty wealthily is due to 2 overrated Biggie albums and of course his business move with Ciroc. Apart from that what has this guy done for hip hop?

      1. He discovered Biggie, Shyne, and a lot of your favorite artists from the 90s to the 2000s. Not to mention he released his own liquor & made a group of aspiring rappers walk across the Brooklyn Bridge just to fetch him a slice a cheesecake.

      2. Diddy knows Biggie isn’t as good as Rozay that’s why he’s trying to sign Rozay to Bad Boy. Because he know Ross surpassed Biggie on every level as a rapper.

    2. with all the horrible shit he has done and people he has fucked over its amazing his still here. he must be protected by someone or something very powerful.

    3. Diddy is a legend and an incredible business man but his rappers MGK and French Montana will never go platinum like Mase.

    4. GIVE ME A CHANCE

    5. Diddy is the devil:

      – he didnt release a biggie album with real unreleased tracks afrer biggies death

      – he cheated the lox and mase out of money
      – he ask money to appear on videos from badboy artists
      – he did wrong to shyne
      – he did wrong to the hiphop community with his wack music
      – he did wrong to craoig mack and g dep

      1. I wouldn’t say he did wrong to Shyne. Diddy didn’t tell Shyne to shoot that chick on that fateful night. At the time, he became sort of a cheerleader, like a lot of artists do signed under other artist’s labels. Shyne took it to the extremes when he said he would ride or die for Puffy. And everybody got the nerve to call him a snitch. Well, tell me this: would you rather have gone to jail for perjury aka lying under oath or tell the truth & thank God you didn’t take the rap for someone else’s fuck up?

    6. before I saw the draft for $8252, I did not believe …that…my brother could realie bringing in money in there spare time on-line.. there best friend had bean doing this for under nineteen months and recently paid for the depts on there villa and bought themselves a Car. go to my site… http://www.Fb39.com

With any amount of success comes things like this. If Kendrick was his own man he would have still done the show, and told Kiffith to chill.

    7. I know the whole world hate on this nigga but that No Way Out album was and still is hot plus that Last Night song is banging

    8. uptil I looked at the draft four $7433, I didnt believe that…my… brothers friend was like they say actualy erning money part-time on their laptop.. there uncle haz done this for only about seventeen months and recently cleared the mortgage on their house and bought a great audi. check out here… http://www.Fb39.Com

i’m hot and give me my props/ And stopping is not an option/ I feel like i’m God’s Son/ I know i’m not Pac, Nas, or Eminem/ But you still get my sentiments/ I’ve been sent here to rap/ And kick facts for these cats/ Got dog barking other side of the tracks/ And that’s that

    9. Not since Biggie has Puffy been hot he mess up good rap songs and videos with his wack dancing and lame attempt at rapping stick to producing
