Diddy has received a number of accolades over the course of his decades-long career and, this summer, he’ll be receiving yet another award.

Every year the world-famous Apollo Theater in New York City’s Harlem district hosts its Spring Benefit. And, according to Revolt, the Bad Boy founder will be honored at the gala with the prestigious Icon Award.

But the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy isn’t the only celebrity that will be honored at the gala, which is set to take place at the Apollo on June 12, 2023. Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be bestowed with the Impact Award, Apollo’s CEO Jonelle Procope will be honored for her dedicated service to the Apollo for twenty years (and this year will be her last), and indie eyewear manufacturer Warby Parker will be bequeathed the Outstanding Leadership in Innovation, Diversity, and Global Community award.

MC Lyte is also scheduled to perform at the event, and Wyclef Jean and DJ D-Nice will also perform DJ sets to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. Tickets for the gala are on sale now, and all proceeds will benefit The Apollo’s innovative performing arts, education and community initiatives that serve 200,000 people every year.

While Diddy has certainly received his fair share of accolades, he’s also in the business of paying it forward to other rap superstars.

Earlier this month, DJ Khaled took to Instagram with a video showing off his stunning new gift from Puff. The post shows two other golfers exploring the luxury cart’s features.

“Thank you @diddy love brother beautiful gift!!!!!!!” he wrote in the post’s caption. “Grateful ! #LetsGoGolfing.”

In a separate post, Diddy praised Khaled on his golf game, as well as explaining his reasoning behind the gift.”I’m so proud of my brother @DJKhaled for all the work he’s putting in on the golf course,” he wrote. “Enjoy my gift to you! I had to find the flyest of the fly for my brother! This ain’t no regular degular golf cart!”

Last month, the GOD DID producer teased a new television show focused on golf with help from Diddy and actor Mark Wahlberg. In a series of videos posted on Instagram, Khaled was spotted with Puff playing a round of golf.

In one clip, Khaled takes a big swing as The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy” plays in the background, while Diddy enthusiastically bigs up the Miami mogul’s golf game. In another video, the Bad Boy boss reveals they’ve already shot the pilot episode of Khaled’s new golf show, and that there’s a bidding war for the rights to the series.
