Diamond D & Big Rec Form DoomsDay Group, Recording Project

Diamond D is a founding member of the Diggin’ In The Crates crew, better known as D.I.T.C. The Bronx, New York native and mentor to Fat Joe has worked with the likes of The Fugees, Busta Rhymes and Xzibit, throughout his nearly 25-year career. This week, 3 Little Digs revealed that the now Atlanta, Georgia-based producer/emcee has a new venture in DoomsDay, with local emcee Big Rec.

After watching Big Rec Apache Cafe, D reportedly stepped to Rec as a supporter. “He approached me, and said he wanted to work,” said Rec in a new video filmed in Norcross, Georgia’s Tree Sound Studios. “It was an honor to even be approached by a legend. That was a high-point in my career.”

Diamond, who has released three studio solo albums, stressed two ultamatems in forming DoomsDay. “We’ll do the project, it’s just two conditions: One, [you] can’t leave with any music till the project is done. Two, don’t ever, ever, bring anybody to my house,” said the onetime member of Ultimate Force.

As far as when people can expect to hear DoomsDay, given Diamond’s terms, “It’s on the way,” said Big Rec.

    1. Don’t kno much about Big Rec, but Diamond is a defly Hip-Hop legend. Along with lengthy credits, he’s amongst the few “ole head” producers from early 90’s still droppin’ bombs. Most recent production I heard em on was that flamin’ Torae album. Do ya homework BABY BOY.
