Desus Nice has hit back at The Kid Mero after the latter made comments about their split.
Mero had said their professional and personal breakup was down to business decisions the duo could not see eye to eye on.

But Desus appears to disagree with Meroâs version of events, posting in reply to the comments a gif of a man wearing an oversized cap, implying his former Desus & Mero co-host was lying.
Desus has yet to offer a further rebuttal, although he did like a post on X that said: âIDK. From this clip, it seems like Mero let it slip that he admits Desus was the more sought after talent.â

The Kid Mero, speaking on his 7AM in Brooklyn podcast with Carmelo Anthony, explained how their highly-publicized split had to do with trying to get a movie made in Hollywood.
âAt first I was upset, itâs the business. Thereâs no friends in the business,â he began. âAnd we was in a situation where I got four kids, two mortgages ⊠I got real-life situations going on so Iâm like, âYo, if we get an offer from DraftKings for $1.5 [million].â

âAnd youâre like, âNah bro, this ainât itâ ⊠And Iâm like, âThis is going places, bro, we need to do this.â And youâre like, âNah.â Iâm like, âFuck outta here.â To me, thatâs like the beginning of this shit [being] corroded. Weâre on different wavelengths.â
He continued: âThe next level of Hollywood is the three of us: Desus, Victor [Lopez, the pairâs former manager] and myself, sitting down with Judd Apatow and saying, âYo, weâre gonna do a movie.â Then the movie gets written and Desus was like, âI ainât really feeling this shit.â
âWhen I know in the business mind is like, yo, when you do a movie with this guy, youâre not just doing a movie with this guy. This dude is a kingmaker in the film industry. If you get in there, you make a banger with him. You solidified.â
âThatâs what takes you up to the next level,â he added. âIf you get a little taste of that Hollywood, get a couple Rollies and shit, you get access to things and you good with that? Thatâs not the type of time I was on.â
