DeJ Loaf has put Moneybagg Yo and his Loaf Boyz crew on blast for allegedly stealing their name from her.
On Thursday (February 8), the “Try Me” star subliminally called out the Memphis rapper and his label/collective on Instagram while sharing behind-the-scenes footage of her recently-released “Home” music video.

“Ay y’all don’t let these n-ggas call themselves ‘Loaf’ It’s only One! And it’s yo mf baby [bread loaf emoji],” she captioned the post. “BTS to the ‘Home’ video out now!”
DeJ made things more direct on her Instagram Stories where she wrote: “Pay HOMAGE fuck n-ggas [moneybag emoji].”

Upon catching wind of the slight, Loaf Boyz representative Fat Wizza seemingly fired back by writing on his own Instagram Stories: “This Loaf shit for the having not the have nots and she definitely a have not [laughing emoji].”
“Loaf yo life mama [laughing emoji],” he added in a follow-up post.
DeJ has yet to respond to Wizza’s response while Moneybagg Yo has yet to address the allegations.

It’s been quite some time since DeJ Loaf has made some noise on the music front. In 2021, she floated the idea of retirement despite only turning 30 that year.
“Probably never drop music again,” she told her Twitter (now X) followers.
However, days later she appeared to have a change of heart upon receiving support from fellow Detroit native Sada Baby. The “Whole Lotta Choppas” rhymer took to social media and gave DeJ her flowers while pleading with her not to put down the mic.
“@DeJLoaf please don’t ever retire,” Sada wrote alongside a screenshot of him jamming to her song “No Passes” on Apple Music. “You the one before anybody else was the one from our side n I mean that. Love you and appreciate the soul and inspiration you gave me from just bein yoself.”

Shortly after, DeJ Loaf thanked Sada for his kind words and announced that she was putting her retirement plans on hold.
“Thanks Sada! I appreciate you!” she replied via X (formerly Twitter). “Love you/your craft and energy! Thanks for always seeing me clearly! Not retiring.”
