DDG has fired back at Joe Budden after the podcaster criticized him following the announcement of his split from Halle Bailey.

Speaking on his self-titled podcast, Budden tore into the Michigan rapper while discussing his recent breakup, asking his audience: “Who the fuck is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?”

He continued: “I’m very happy that they have broken up so I don’t have to keep seeing this n-gga’s name attached to this girl’s name when I don’t know him from nothing as a standalone. And for me, it’s important to know people based on their own name, merit and what they have done.

“Every time I see his name, it’s attached to hers and it’s typically in some type of clout-chaser fashion, so that makes me look at him a different way — and hopefully I get to look at him a lot less now that they’ve broken up.”

Budden also referenced an alleged social media post in which DDG criticized Bailey’s abilities in the bedroom, though the rapper and influencer later claimed that the post was fake.

The former Slaughterhouse rapper said: “You saying her head game is trash, n-ggas gonna go get their own account. N-ggas gonna find out on their own. If it was that trash, why you snatch that cherry so fast my boy?”

DDG did not appreciate the remarks and quickly hit back at Joe Budden on social media.

He wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Pump it up went gold after 20 years u old bitch @JoeBudden i’m on u.”

“Ion be trippin bout the girls sayin shit cuz i’m used to it. it’s all love. but u n-ggas wit platforms gon get a response fasho,” he continued.

“N-gga got 30 years MAX of life left & speakin on a relationship of people the same age as yo son you’n take care of. I hope u forget to take your magnesium pills today u old bitch @joebudden.”

DDG announced his breakup with singer and actor Halle Bailey last week in a statement posted on his Instagram Stories.

He wrote: “Dear friends and supporters, After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared.”

The 26-year-old also maintained that he and Halle, who share a nine-month-old child, would stay close: “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.”
