Daylyt Talks Drake & Lil Wayne Competing In Battle Rap

Daylyt says he’s still signed to Drake’s October’s Very Own imprint.

As an OVO affiliate, the west coast battle rapper recently told VladTV that he’s not only working on a joint album with Drake, he also knows exactly why Drake hasn’t battle-rapped against Mook yet.

Drake just playing hard-to-get because of where he’s at,” Daylyt says of Drake avoiding the anticipated matchup. “Most light-skined people play where they at…I wouldn’t want Drake to battle Mook.”

“We be in the studio all the time, Drake’s freestyle game isn’t that great,” he continued. He’s a good writer.”

Daylyt suggests that Mook is “one of the few battle rappers to clearly beat people.” He also believes Drake should not have targeted Mook. For Drake to end up victorious, Daylyt says the Young Money Rapper has to target the crowd’s sympathy.

“You’re not beating Wheelchair Drake,” Day says. “You can’t beat a guy in a wheelchair…. He would get all type of investments from that.”

“Out of all of the mainstream rappers, Lil Wayne would probably be the best rapper to do it,” Day adds.
