Danny Brown Skeptical Of Collaborative Album With ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul & A$AP Rocky

Danny Brown, who released his Old album earlier this month, recently spoke about the prospects of creating a collaborative album with ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and A$AP Rocky. 

“That’s on them,” Brown said in an interview with Montreality. “I’m always here. I’m always ready to work. TDE, they always talk. They can’t even do a Black Hippy album, so we doubt that’ll ever happen.” 

Black Hippy is a group featuring TDE labelmates ScHoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock. 

In March, ScHoolboy Q addressed the likelihood of a collaborative album with A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown and Ab-Soul.

“We may even do an album together,” Q said. “We’ve been talking about it. Call that whole shit Druggys Wit Hoes. We may do it. Me and Rocky may do a project together, too. We’ve been talking about it, too. I’m just waiting to get this album out and just see what happens. As of right now, I don’t now. After this album, shit, I want to work with both the homies. I want to do a project with Soul and I want to do one with Rocky. Maybe we can even put our own little group together – me, Ab-Soul, Danny Brown and Rocky.”

In 2011, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul released “Druggys Wit Hoes.” In 2012, the duo released “Druggys Wit Hoes Again.” 

ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and A$AP Rocky appeared on Danny Brown’s Old. Q appeared on “Dope Fiend Rental.” A$AP Rocky and Ab-Soul are featured on “Kush Coma.” 

Danny Brown appeared as a guest during Black Hippy’s set at the group’s San Bernardino, California Rock the Bells festival showing.
