Never Enough follows 2019’s Case Study 01 – a 10-track effort that included collaborations with Pharrell, Brandy, John Mayer, Sean Leon and Jacob Collier.
The album debuted and peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard 200, and remained on the charts for three weeks. It paled in comparison to his 2017 debut Freudian, which remained on the Billboard 200 for a whopping 98 weeks.

Case Study 01 arrived following a bout of controversy for the singer, after he had been called out for how he went about standing up for social media influencer YesJulz’s perceived disrespect of Black women.
When Caesar asked why Black people were being “so mean” to white folks during an Instagram livestream, Twitter commenced to flame the R&B singer.
“Why are we being so mean to Julz?” Caesar said. “Why is it that we’re allowed to be disrespectful and rude to everybody else and when anybody else returns any type of energy to us—that’s not equality.
“I don’t wanna be treated like I can’t take a joke. I just went through the fucking Chappelle shit and I had to like, in the moment, acknowledge that I was being fucking sensitive.”

It even prompted Waka Flocka and his then-wife Tammy Rivera to speak out. “Bruh, don’t speak American business if you not from here,” Waka said when asked about the issue by TMZ.
Rivera added: ”Tell him to speed down the street in a car, get pulled over by two white cops and then he’ll figure out why.”
