Danger Mouse Spends a Night in Paris

    When Paris
    Hilton’s
album The Stars Are Blind was released, the LP
came with more than she planned. Danger Mouse, in
alliance with famed graf artist Banksy, re-made Paris Hilton’s album,
artwork and all, and had it sold at various record stores.

The pair did so by getting new copies of the LP, going home
replacing the CD and the artwork, re-packaging it and placing it back on
shelves at about 48 stores. The total amount of doctored copies is said to be
    around 500.

The duo added new beats to the tracks, reworked a few songs
and also made a statement. The artwork was replaced with new art,
    depicting various images of Hilton.

The front cover was given a new sticker, which read:

“Why Am I Famous? What Have I Done? And What Am I
    For?”

Furthermore, images of the famous celebrity showed her
topless with the head of a dog and others showed her face with the body of a mannequin.

Here are some other captions on the record’s sleeve:

“Every CD you buy puts me even further out of your
    league.”

“Thou Shalt Not Worship False Icons.”

“90% of success is just showing up.”

Banksy, is a British graf artist who made a
name for himself by providing various streets with his ability. He was made
even more famous when he replaced classic paintings with re-worked renditions
in different museums around the UK.
Danger Mouse is known for his production ability. He has
produced for everyone from Murs to the Gorrillaz
and is half of Gnarls Barkley.
