Dame Dash Sees Jay Z Perform For First Time “In Years”

Dame Dash and Jay Z went from a lucrative business partnership with Roc-A-Fella in the late 1990s and early 2000s to a public falling out in 2004.

This year, the two reunited for a photograph and more recently met backstage at a Jay Z concert. The photograph also includes Ava Dash, Dame’s daughter, who also attended the concert.

Dash publicized the more recent encounter with a photograph published via Instagram. Dash’s caption reads:

@ava_dash and I had a ball yesterday…haven’t seen this dude perform in years

In April, Dash spoke about his falling out with Jay Z in an interview with MTV.

“Things never really got fucked up,” Dash said. “It just got over. Me and Jay wasn’t never arguing. Me and Jay never was beefin’. It was just over, and Roc-A-Fella didn’t exist anymore.”

In that interview, Dash also spoke about Jay Z’s actions.

“I thought the way Jay carried things was a betrayal to the company,” Dash said. “I just felt like Roc-A-Fella should exist, like Cash Money still exists, like Bad Boy still exists, like every other label still exists.”

Dash’s most recent image with Jay Z can be found below.
