In the wake of Nick Cannon’s recent interview with Dame Dash, another interview has resurfaced that addresses Funk Flex’s allegations the Roc-A-Fella co-founder tried to steal “JAY-Z’s girl.”
An unearthed interview with Roc-A-Fella’s former in-house videographer Choke No Joke corroborates Flex’s story. Choke claimed Dash tried to steal both Aaliyah and Hov’s current superstar wife Beyoncé from Jay at different times.
“I mean nothing happened like he kissed or sexed her or something like that,” Choke said. “Did he try to holler at her? Yeah. That’s the same thing he did with Aaliyah. We all know there was a point at Roc-A-Fella where Dame wasn’t allowed around Beyoncé. Everybody that worked there at that time knew […] because he was a creep.
“Beyonce wasn’t going for that shit. And the only reason why Aaliyah might have gone for it was because he wouldn’t be public with her and tried to keep that shit private.”

Earlier this week, 50 Cent and Flex blasted Dash for seemingly throwing Jay under the bus.
“Rest in Peace to the Beautiful Aaliyah-That was Jayz lady first,” he wrote in an Instagram comment. “Dame did a snake move… tell me I’m lying u piece of shit! @duskoppington … @nickcannon know that was Jayz girl first … 2 fucking tricks that chicks been jerking FOR YEARS!

I’m quite sure Jay and Aaliyah were done because Jay was running around with other chicks at that time too (Blu Cantrell and a few others). So gonna give Dame a pass on that, Jay might not have respected the move but I think he was done with Aaliyah and that relationship didn’t really last too long. Had to be cool because they were all showing up at events together when Dame and Aaliyah were unofficially together. That Beyoncé move… that’s what probably the straw that broke the camel’s back (the irony).

I don’t know. Body language says a lot. And that picture doesn’t look like Aaliyah too worried about Jay-z. Of course it’s only one picture but it looks more like Dame’s version of the story. His version was Aaliyah was friendly would Jay-z and she would go out and with hang with anybody who she considered a friend, but basically that Jay tried to holler and got immediately put in the friend zone. Then, he says he ran into Aaliyah later on separately and they hit it off. Who knows.
