DaBaby jokingly kicked his Jordan sneakers to the curb and alleged less-than-VIP treatment at Hornets games after receiving a pair of Deion Sanders’ new sneakers.
Taking to Instagram with an unboxing of the new “Coach Prime” Nike sneakers on Tuesday (February 13), the North Carolina native gave Sanders his flowers as he noted that while he likes Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan, he never received any free kicks from him.

“Hey OG – I appreciate ya always checking checking on me, chiming in [and] making sure my head in the right space,” DaBaby noted before going into why he was choosing Prime and his sneakers over Jordan and his.
“I’m rocking with Prime, n-gga. I fuck with MJ but he ain’t ever sent me shit,” he said as he took off his Js. “Yo public service announcement. I rock with MJ. I fuck with MJ but he ain’t never sent me shit and at the Hornets games when the players will come and I had my courtside seats, y’all ain’t never let me shoot the ball.

In the comments, one fan mentioned DaBaby being cancelled and said that this gift signifies his return.
“You know if Deion tapping in Dababy definitely off of probation with the cancel culture welcome back,” they wrote.
The cancellation stemmed from the homophobic statements the rapper made at Rolling Loud Miami in 2021 – and he recently revealed the moment cost him a staggering $200million.
The “Suge” rapper sat down with Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast in November 15, where he revealed that despite losing such an eye-watering amount, he realized that it was also a teachable moment that came with an important lesson.
