CyHi The Prynce has said that he wrote on nine out of the 10 songs on Kanye West’s Yeezus album. The G.O.O.D. Music artist says that another West-helmed project, G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Winter album, may be arriving by the end of 2013. “We in negotiations with Def Jam,” CyHi The Prynce says in an interview with Blogionista. “Sometimes they’re extra slow. We’re looking to put it out this year.”
In addition to the follow-up to 2012’s Cruel Summer, which spawned the hits “Clique” and “Mercy,” CyHi The Prynce is also working on a mixtape and an EP. He also hopes to put out his Hardway Musical album at the beginning of next year.
Even though he’s working with West, CyHi The Prynce says he’s in no rush to release material and gain fans just because of his high-profile affiliations. “I’m trying to do it organically,” he says during the interview. “I don’t want to be that one-hit wonder guy that puts something on the radio and then another dude right after me come put another song on the radio. Then I’ll be forgotten about. So, I like to build my fans organically, touch them, kiss the babies, shake hands. It’ll be out soon.”
CyHi The Prynce got connected with West through his appearance on 2010’s “I Wish (Remix),” a Yelawolf song also featuring Pill. The cut made its way to West, who was impressed with CyHi The Prynce’s verse. West then researched the Georgia rapper’s music and flew him out to Hawaii, where they started making music together and became friends.
Now that he’s living his dream, CyHi The Prynce wants to help listeners make better decisions than he did at one point in his life. “I always wanted to be an entertainer in some form or fashion,” he says. “Once I got into the streets…I’m like scared straight. I went through some real, you know, very near-death experiences, so I like to reflect on ’em and let other guys know that’s not the only way we can make money. I know a bunch of rich dudes that are not street dudes.”

Hopefully with less CyHi on it. Him and Big Sean are the least necessary rappers of all time. Ye should get himself checked for a tumor or something if he thinks they’re hotter than Mos Def, Common and Q-Tip.

not a bad rapper, he was fire on “so appalled” but he takin so long to give hip-hop fans anything worthy. and i agree with others, only time you see his name is when talking bout kanye.
I love CyHi, I think he’s a dope rapper and I admire his approach for gaining fans “organically” but the guy is rarely ever mentioned, and when he is, it’s in shit like this… this aint news, this is just talk about a lot of projects that wont see the light for months… just like CyHi. You aint gonna see his name again until like next year if they drop Cruel Winter.
I also agree with the other people, CyHi has major verses but you never see him in any major articles without Kanye or G.O.O.D music being the focus point of the article.
It’s a shame, because I think CyHi has bars, and he’s a good mixtape artist and I’d be interested to see if he brings that same material to an album but I hope for his sake he gets some better beats. His mixtape beat selections are horrid. Dude went hard on “So Appalled” he needs to hook up with some producers who can give him something half decent to spit on.

This is Kanyes style, he breeds these rappers til its their time to breakthrough. Just like he did with Big Sean, even though Im not a fan of him. He waited, paid his dues, and when the time was right, Kanye let him loose. CyHi is doing the same and when its his time, those who doubt him will see…
