Conway The Machine and producer Conductor Williams seem like a perfect fit, given Williams’ history with Conway’s brother, Griselda head honcho Westside Gunn. But Conway and Conductor have never teamed up for a full project — until now.

On Friday (December 1), the duo dropped the aptly named Conductor Machine EP. The seven-song project was a natural fit, Conway said in a recent interview with Acton Entertainment.

“I already been a fan of Conductor and we done some stuff for Westside Gunn albums and projects and shit like that, so it was easy,” the rapper explained.

The Buffalo, New York native also said that the EP came about through his manager Chad Kemp, who also runs Conway’s label Drumwork Music Group.

“He connected all the dots with all that,” Conway said of Kemp.

Conway The Machine recently shared that even before this EP’s release, he was a Conductor Williams advocate. He said that he actually DMed Drake to share his reaction to the superstar’s work with Williams on the song “8AM In Charlotte.”

“Shout out to Conductor, the beat was crazy,” he told Acton Entertainment. “I think I posted a DM — I DMed them or something, with the mind blown emojis. Like, ‘Bro, it’s not even — it’s starting to not even be fair no more.’ But nah, dog, that shit was fire.”

Conway has more projects on the way. In October, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League producer Erik “Rook” Ortiz told HipHopDX that he and his partner Kevin “Colione” Crowe are preparing a project for the Griselda MC.

He made it clear that it will arrive after Conway’s Won’t He Do It 2, a planned sequel to the rapper’s project from this past May.

“We can do it all, we can carry a whole album and we can make it sound phenomenal,” Ortiz began. “Next up for us is Conway The Machine. We’re doing that whole album with Conway.”
