Common Stars In “LUV” Trailer

Common shows off his acting skills in a clip from the upcoming crime drama LUV, premiering at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

The flick stars Common as Uncle Vincent, an “ex-con trying to go straight who takes his young nephew with him on a business trip that inadvertently leads him back down the deadly path he’s been trying to avoid.”

“It begins with love, love coming from someone whose been through a lot of pain and struggle,” Common told EW, which also premiered the clip and poster for the film. “He doesn’t automatically see putting somebody in a situation like that to be as detrimental as it could be.”

      1. You really are the definition of ignorant-ass young nigga. You support bubble-gum pop rappers and bash legendary emcees. Besides, did you even read the article? It’s not going straight to TV. It’s still going to premier in theaters. Read the full Deadline article.

      1. “According to Deadline, the Common-starring LUV was acquired by Indomina for North American theatrical distribution.”

The BET component is in ADDITION to a major release. Read, fool!!

    7. Yes! I’ve been hearing good things about this so i’m glad it got picked up for a major release. I bet this will be seen as a breakthrough for Com & the young star.

Props to Com for producing as well

    8. Oh you mean like that 50 Cent movie that was supposed to get a theatrical release, but instead aired on BET? Low budget movies get picked up all the time for distribution, but usually end up STV or on TV because the cost of promoting them would be too high.
