With midterm elections drawing near, President Barack Obama is reaching out to younger American voters. Young voters, while overwhelmingly visible during the presidential elections, tend to disappear during the midterms. President Obama has enlisted several artists to help him get the message out to voters, one of them being Chicago rapper Common.
This upcoming Saturday, Common will perform at Hyde Park in Chicago in support of President Obama’s campaign for Democrat votes. The rally, which is free to the public, will be held close to the University of Chicago and is expected to hold a massive amount of people.
Common is not the only artist to have performed during the recent Democratic campaigns. President Obama also enlisted The Roots to perform during Pennsylvanian candidate Joe Sestak’s rally last month.
Common will take to the stage at 4:30 in Hyde Park, on Oct. 30.
Make sure you go vote Nov. 2 just in case them republicans try to make a couple ballots disapear. Keep the democrats in control of Congress. The republicans want the middle class to disappear. man this shouldn’t be about race, this is about equality. it’s also about allowing a person time to straighten up a disaster. we are over 13 trillion dollars in debt and there isn’t a way for one man to do it by himself. the country will have to be indivisible. but it is clear that this is not going to happen. the line is race; we know that. no sense in arguing, hell let’s just do better! china isn’t divided by race, or any other country, except africa; isn’t that something? barack is doing a superb job and if you allow dubyah to fuck it up in 8 years, allow barack the same amount of time to get things back on the up and up!
