Coi Leray is one of music’s fastest rising stars; so it lines up that she’d have men trying to holler at her — but one actor has learned she’s not easily impressed.

During a recent conversation with TMZ, Power actor Gianni Paolo revealed the “Players” rapper ghosted him after shooting his shot on Instagram.

“Team single for life — unless it’s Coi Leray,” the actor divulged, before detailing the embarrassment that ensued when he hopped into her DMs. “I mean she left me on read a couple weeks ago, which is crazy,” Paolo explained.

When asked what he led with, the 27-year-old admitted he may have come on a little strong. “I just said like, ‘You’re my wife’ — that’s the opening line always. So, I said that. [She] viewed that, viewed my whole story — and I was like damn.”

“I showed Michael [Rainey Jr.] on set — because I was talking to her the week before — he goes, ‘Damn that’s cold.'”

Although Paolo went on to say he didn’t get 50 Cent‘s advice on the matter, he’s down to get set up. “50 if you can set me up with Coi Leray, let’s go — let’s get it going.”

In music news, Leray recently made headlines after her low record sales came into question by Boosie Badazz.

On Monday (July 3), Boosie took to Twitter to defend the self-proclaimed trendsetter while calling out the gatekeepers he believes pull the strings in the music industry — resulting in Coi’s new Coi LP reportedly moving a meager 10,000 units in its first week.

The outspoken Baton Rouge native stated that Leray’s album should have sold at least 100,000 units due to her hitmaking ability, referencing the success of Billboard Hot 100 singles like “Players,” “Self Love” and “Baby Don’t Hurt Me.”

He also alleged that there could be some foul play involved since she’s the daughter of Benzino, the controversial former owner of The Source magazine.

“@coileray_SHOULD HAVE SOLD AT LEAST 100k the first week. ‘NOBODY RECENT GOT MORE HITS THAN HER’ either this shit rigged r CELEBRITY KIDS JUST GET HATED ON WHEN ITS TIME TO SWIPE,” Boosie wrote.

“MFS BE HATERS str8 UP MY FAM GO THROUGH the Same Shit WE AINT STOPPING THO BELIEVE THAT!”

Despite Boosie Badazz’s visceral rage, Coi Leray had a very different reaction and propped up Coi‘s No. 102 debut — boasting 16 tracks like her viral single “Players,” and the David Guetta-assisted “Make My Day” — on the Billboard 200 as another victory in her burgeoning career.

“Grateful to have an album on the top 200 for my first week of my album release, again,” she tweeted on Monday. “This time with 3 hits on the hot 100 … woah. I’m super proud of myself. Bigger and better year every time. Keep streaming Coi. It’s an amazing album.”
