Clipse continue their epic run in 2025 by releasing the official video for “F.I.C.O.,” a standout track from their comeback album Let God Sort Em Out.
Directed by Hannan Hussain, who was also behind the duo’s “So Be It” video, the visual merges Pusha T and Malice‘s slick street rhymes with dark and gritty visuals.
While reflecting on their dicey dope boy days, the Virginia-bred brothers post up in an empty apartment building and cruise through the rainy streets of New York City in the back of a luxury whip.
The clip is full of neat subtle touches that bring the song to life, such as a shot of Pusha sat in the back of said car as a body is loaded into the trunk, paired perfectly with his line: “When you pay a n-gga back like it’s layaway / Whispering ‘die slow,’ the last words you hear in the trunk.”
Stove God Cooks also makes an appearance in the video as he delivers what Pusha has crowned the “hook of the year.” (He ain’t lying.)
The “F.I.C.O.” video arrives hot on the heels of yet another milestone moment for Clipse, who recently earned their first Grammy nominations in over 20 years.
The rap veterans are up for five awards at next year’s Grammys, including the coveted Album of the Year prize for Let God Sort Em Out — their first time in one of the “Big Four” categories.
The critically-acclaimed Pharrell-produced project is also in the race for Best Rap Album, while “The Birds Don’t Sing” is nominated for Best Rap Song, “Chains & Whips” is up for Best Rap Performance” and “So Be It” is competing for Best Music Video.
“Bringing home that hardware would mean everything,” Pusha T said of Clipse’s chances at the Grammys in a recent interview with GQ. “We going for it. We made the album. We looked at it, like, this is that strong. We need to take something home for this.”
