CL Smooth Announces New Album “The Emancipation Of Corey Penn”

CL Smooth has announced The Emancipation of Corey Penn, his first solo album in six years, due in early 2013.

The project, which serves as the follow up to his debut solo LP American Me, is led by the single “Ask About Me” produced by Kenny Ali II.

The album announcement coincides with the 20-year anniversary of Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s Mecca and the Soul Brother. The pair have been touring around the world and plan to perform later this month at Jazz Cafe in London, England. They are also working on their untilted “official” four studio album.
