Charles Hamilton Works With Producer Omen

Charles Hamilton is back in the studio – now with the help of producer Omen.

Omen, a Harlem native who produced Drake and The-Dream’s “Shut It Down,” as well as Lil Wayne’s “Single,” spoke to Vibe about the young Brooklyn rapper.

“Charles’ focus right now is putting out really clever records, but joints that can bump in the club,” says Omen of the project. “As far as his pen game, Charles is a genius in his own right. His whole vibe is left-field and he’s one of the quickest artists I ever worked with. We did like 14 songs in two days. This might be the first time where he doesn’t really produce the bulk of the album. I think people will be really surprised… that dude has a lot of good joints lined up.”

Omen also spoke on Hamilton’s as-of-yet untitled album’s first single, which will be titled “Halla.” He hinted at a guest appearance on the track, saying, “I was hearing some talks about it featuring another artist that everyone knows and loves… and loves to hate.”

Currently, there is no timetable set for Charles Hamilton’s next album.

      1. Bars? I don’t think he’s nice. On those grounds. That sonic and cartoon references are just dumb. He’s not deep at all. What has he said that has you impressed?

      2. First time ive ever had to disagree with one of your comments. I dnt think he’s wack but at the same time he aint nothin special

      3. To anyone who thinks he doesn’t have bars:

“Y’all ain’t MEAN, y’all just tryin to be ME in the AM but I took out the last curve…”

“I’m a lost traveler, but the best bar battler/Charles, bar for bar, Attica…”

“They say I’m too weird for the rap biz/No dammit, it’s my year in this rap biz.”

“Part of me believes I have a heart that doesn’t beat/It’s acapella, my mind provides the drums/ And I don’t mind the dumb/cause their minds gotta be numb, to not feel what I’m sayin”

“Brooklyn Girls remember the scene with the door in it?Yeah that girl…no I didn’t fu3k her/But dammit if she didn’t try to hold me in the pucker. Her man was my manager and I respect relationships/ But he was probably gonna watch wit a handkerchief.”

        Dude is underrated.

    1. charles hamilton is one of the most lyrical dudes i have ever heard. He is deep with his words. Spits nothing but fire everytime. His swagger is off the chain. so much swag he prolly needs a backpack to carry the excess swag. Him teaming up wit omen is just gonna produce cooked crack. Its not even fair to all these other rappers in the game.

    2. Charles Hamilton is the future. His beat-making is incredible, and he has lyrics for days. If you don’t like him it’s cause you don’t understand him. Straight up genius.

He almost effed himself out of a career with that pink and sonic stuff….Dude can rap and produce but he must be a azzclown in life cuz dude stay failin…..He can’t even go to Detroit or Chicago cuz they want to beat hiz ass…he needs to not do interviews and just drop songs..people would take him serious……isn’t he supposed to be doing a album as a Lady ?

    5. CH is from Cleveland… raised in Harlem… HHDX slackin cuz he made a song called “Brooklyn Girls”

    6. Wowwwwwwwwwww!!!Recently, I came across a hot military dating and friends club. –**Blackmilitaryfriends.com**–. There are many sassy ladies and handsome military guys seeking fun, friendship, love ,marriage and even more!!!!! Maybe you wanna check out or tell your friends.

    7. “Charles Hamilton in an interview said he believes in “The Super Sonic Philosophy”. He mentioned that he sometimes refers to himself as Sonic the Hedgehog, because ‘Sonic’ represents sound and ‘hedgehog’ represents living underground, so he is Sonic because he “Buries himself in the Sound” (Via being a musician). He also talks about life by saying that if you “Stay in a positive zone, you can always beat the game” which means that if you keep an optimistic attitude, you will get through life without trouble.”

^^^ Got that from Wikipedia…I know it ain’t too credible a site but I saw where fam mentioned CH’s originally from the Midwest so I thought I’d check it out and see cuz I didn’t know that. But anyway, that explanation of the whole Sonic thing makes hellified sense if you really readin how he broke down the whole logic behind it. Besides, niggas frontin like they wasn’t makin their thumbs all stiff and shit playin that Sonic & Knuckles on the Sega Genesis back in the day…STOP IT. LOL I see the Sonic shit and it takes me back to a simpler time in life…I dunno, I guess you just had to be there to be able to really feel it…good to see you back Charles, stick to the music and fuck all the extracirricular shit my nigga.
