Cee Lo to Re-record “Forget You” for Firefighters

Between selling over 3 million copies and the massive amount of radio play its received, it’s hard to imagine that Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You” could get any bigger. Now, the Goodie Mob alum is looking to re-record his hit single for firefighters.

According to ContactMusic.com, Cee Lo has partnered with Duracell batteries to re-do his hit song “Forget You.” The new version, which will be called “Thank You,” will be used to promote Duracell’s upcoming campaign to donate batteries to volunteer fire departments.

This isn’t the first time Cee Lo has re-recorded this song. The origial verison of the song, titled “Fuck You!,” was re-recorded in a clean version called “Forget You.”

    1. I like Cee-Lo’s album. He’s got a decent voice and knows how to make a good song.

But like Dre3000, I just wish he would go back to rhyming.

Michael Jordan was a good baseball player, but his basketball abilities were above and beyond everyone elses. That’s how I feel about CeeLo and Dre. Yeah, you can sing, and yeah it sounds really good, but it’s just not the same as when your on your rhyming game.
