Cee Lo Green & Danger Mouse Recording Third Gnarls Barkley LP

Taking a break from his solo career, Cee Lo Green is teaming back up with producer Danger Mouse to record the third Gnarls Barkley album. During an interview with Us Magazine, the “Voice” judge revealed plans to put out a new album with his production partner in the near future.

“There is a new Gnarls Barkley album coming out! There is a whole bunch of stuff with the collaborations. Hopefully people will like what I am doing, that is always a plus,” he said. “I would hope it would break more grounds. Knowing the nature of the space that we shared I am pretty sure it will be somewhat similar.”

Cee Lo most recently released his third solo album The Lady Killer, which spawned the singles “Fuck You” and “Bright Lights Bigger City.” Danger Mouse most recently lent his production skills to Broken Bells, The Black Keys and U2.

    1. Boooooo! Gnarls Barkely had one SMASH song and that was Crazy as we all know but I don’t really like Cee-Lo as a singer or as a member of the group Gnarls Barkley. However, Cee-lo as a member of the Goodie Mob or Cee-Lo the rapper is one of the dopest artists of all-time. I do’t know what happened to the Goodie Mob reunion but he needsto focus back on Hip Hop and not with all this singing bullshit and wearing all the homo-esque clothes.

      1. It seems that Cee Lo used his rapping skills to get his foot into the music industry and since he hasn’t really turned back i guess singing is what he really wants to do, so you cant hate a man for doing what they want to do in life. Gnarles Barkley albums have great songs on them by the way, not all the songs, but theirs always a couple joints that rock, Cee Lo’s singing doesnt always make the songs great , but Danger Mouses production is always on point and i’ll listen just to hear what he does.

    2. I don’t know what ya’ll been sniffin on, but BOTH Gnarls Barkely albums are dope. The first one is a CLASSIC.

    3. Is there really that much of a difference between Cee-Lo’s solo work and as Gnarls Barkley? The only difference is that Danger Mouse does all the production, but its still just Cee-Lo singing…am i right? or does DM actually sing now and then?

      1. Actually when Cee-Lo and Dangermouse form Gnarls, they bring a whole diffrent sound then when Cee-Lo makes on his own. Notice how “Fuck You” and “Crazy” sound complety different.

Cee-Lo’s solo album have had rap songs on them up until Lady Killer so yeah. I would say it’s not the same.
