Cassidy and Dizaster participated in a press conference in Los Angeles yesterday (September 4) to hype their forthcoming Fresh Coast/FilmOn “Ether” battle, according to a story on BattleRap.com.
Dizaster appeared on stage at the press conference for the event, which is scheduled for Los Angeles in December, while Cassidy appeared as a hologram.
Fresh Coast’s Lush One introduced each rapper and Dizaster delivered a rap.
Cassidy then declined to rap.
“From that shit that Dizaster just spit, I don’t wanna show him up already…” Cassidy said. “You can’t be serious saying I don’t got bars. I gave you bars for over a decade. Constant bars. Nothing but bars. That shit niggas did freestyling off the top, that shit ain’t nothing to me. But they ain’t pay me to go on interviews and start going back-and-forth. They paying me to step in the ring. So when I step in the ring y’all going to hear them fuckin’ bars.”

I think Cassidy is going to lose. He’s good at regular street battle rapping/freestyling, but not the theatrical type of battle rapping modern battle rappers like Dizaster do. He would do better battling people at url, that’s more of his style.
Dizaster was terrible on url. Rex washed him. Cass gonna wash him up easily. dude is overrated and cant hang with the best.

Diz was really trying to get in Cass head and to an extent did get under Cass skin. To Cass defense, he is right about forwarding the culture no doubt and to add it could set a mark for battlers to demand more money. Not to mention it really is Cass’s name alone that is most likely going to make this a bigger event than Total Slaughter. It’s hard to say something to Diz defense when Cass spoke the truth about he came from a point in time where it was no preparing and any hip hop head, OG Battle rapper, and industry rapper will tell you Cass would be on the streets fucking people up on camera or not and on the spot. I wanted to at least give Diz the benefit of 1 round but after watching the press conference Cass got more ammo to take this 3-0.
Cass was torchin cats WELL before he became an artist, that’s his oxygen…this is what he does. Seems Dizaster’s really unaware of what’s about to go down, but oh well..

Cass had some really good points in the press conference, especially about how Dizaster always comes in doing the same shit…spits a million bars for 30 minutes when the rounds are supposed to be three minutes, but doesn’t say SHIT. I’ve seen a lot of his battles, you get endless multiples which are all filler for like 60 bars just to get to ONE punchline. Even Swave Sever exposed that years ago and in that battle Diz was awkward as fuck trying to slow down his rhymes and change his style.

Dizaster, is the best rapper on the streets now. Casiddy isnt hungry like Diz. Dizaster has battled over 90+ battles and has won most of them!
People always point to the cassidy vs freeway battle as evidence that cass is gonna kill this battle…but honestly that battle wasn’t even that good compared to the battles Diz has been in. Dont get me wrong Cass has got bars and some clever punchlines…but that whole battle with freeway he could have been battling ANYONE. His punches were generic as fuck. When Diz goes in on mother fuckers he goes IN ON THEM. His attacks are personal and IN DEPTH. Cass will have to come harder than he did against freeway…just sayin.
