Lush One says that the forthcoming battle between Cassidy and Dizaster has a pent-up demand among fans.

It’s already generated more discussion. You’re talking about the artist people have wanted to see booked in battles more than anybody. It didn’t even make sense. People didn’t think this was possible. This is a dude that was turning down six-figure offers.”

Serious question, is there any way Cassidy can win this?
Cassidy doesn’t have the type of bars that excels in the “modern” battle scene. I feel like he can put on a good performance, but the hip hop scene in general will give it to Dizaster, regardless of how much people don’t like Dizaster.
Remember, Cassidy used to do this for a living. If he takes this seriously, he could win. It’s just surprising that he’s even doing this. Maybe he needs the money after Meek ripped his heart out.

people don’t have setup- punchline formulas anymore and those wordplay stuff like raise the bar = lifting a bar over your head type stuff, is 90’s..
the only established artist I think might stand a chance is chino xl, or perhaps Eminem.
I personally prefer the “old” style of battling (though I don’t I’ve never really followed the battle scene), but I’m still convinced that Cassidy is setting himself in a situation where he can’t win. The only real beneficiary is the pride of the battle scene when they win against an “industry” name.
