Cardi B is getting her flexibility in order for her headlining set at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert.

Summer Jam 2023 takes place on Sunday (June 4), and it features plenty of girl power with Cardi, Ice Spice, GloRilla, Lola Brooke and Coi Leray on the bill.

Fans can also expect to see sets from New York giants French Montana, Fivio Foreign, Lil Tjay and The LOX, the latter of whom will headline a special performance celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop.

Taking to Instagram to show off her her stretching and breathing exercises just days ahead of the show, Cardi captioned her back-bending clip with, “Summer jam ready.” Check out the clip below.

After over nearly two decades, the weather will no longer be a factor at Summer Jam as the venue has switched from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to Long Island’s state-of-the-art UBS Arena.

With the perfect platform to do so, it wouldn’t be a bad time for Cardi B to debut some new music. She previously promised in an interview with The Breakfast Club in December that her long-awaited follow-up to Invasion of Privacy will arrive in 2023. “I have no choice. I have to put it out,” she said.

Charlamagne Tha God suggested the project should arrive in April to coincide with the five-year anniversary of her 2018 Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy, which Cardi seemed to be on board with. “I think I should put it out around that time,” she concurred.

While that time frame has passed, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that a surprise album could drop at any moment.

The 30-year-old added that she feels confident in a handful of songs that she has in the chamber, but admitted uncertainty about the overall direction of the project. “I just feel like [it’s] just missing something,” she confessed.

While it’s unclear if she’ll have any new solo material, Cardi will have Latto’s new “Put It On Da Floor” remix, which arrives on Friday (June 2).

“I put it on the floor, and, now, I’m ’bout to put it on the floor again. Remix this Friday!” Latto said in a video to announce the collab as she rips a plastic bag off of someone’s head to reveal Cardi. “Rip her out the plastic! She been acting brand new!”

Bardi added: “Put it on the floor bitch.”
