Cardi B had some words for her rivals after she won the Inspiration Award at the 2024 Hollywood Unlocked Awards.
Taking to the stage for her acceptance speech, the Bronx rap star wasted no time in getting to the heart of the matter.
She said: “I just want to say thank Jason [Lee] so much for this award. I’m really my biggest critic and I always say this: ‘Nobody has it harder than in the industry and in every genre than a female rapper.’ And I’m going to tell you why.
“You have to have the best verse. Not only that, you have to kill the charts. On top of that, your personal life has to be perfect, or then the opp bitches are going to use that against you.”
Cardi then took aim at critics who mention her tumultuous marriage with Offset.
“‘Your husband. Your husband.’ Shut up,” she continued. “I make more money than all the n-ggas you’re fucking. So sometimes it is hard to be yourself. It is hard to want to push yourself into the music because sometimes I don’t like showing weakness in my music because, ‘You can’t see the pussy in me, bitch.’”

Cardi B has never been one to take the high road when it comes to her enemies.
Earlier this year, she claimed that she was done beefing with people on songs or social media and would prefer to settle any differences with her fists.
She said: “I’m done with bitches. I’m done with the arguing. If anybody want to see me, they can fight me. I got short nails now so if anybody got an issue with me, they can link up and they can fight me. But I’m not going back and forth no more with no bitch on Instagram, on social media, on records, nothing.
“That shit been for six years already. And guess what? No matter if I’m right or wrong, I’ll always look like the villain. But y’all need to leave me alone. Leave me alone. I’m not even being cocky about my accomplishments. I can really shit if I wanted to.”
Cardi has notably had issues with the likes of BIA in recent months, while she’s also been entangled in a simmering beef with Nicki Minaj for several years.
