Cardi B has been actively hyping up her highly anticipated sophomore album, and she has now admitted that the process has been nerve wracking.
On Saturday (April 6), Missy Elliott caught wind of a Twitter discussion about the new project in which one person wrote: “Your second album is not the time to be experimenting….maybe the third album but definitely not the second..just give the people what they need. She still needs to win people back.”

The rap veteran strongly disagreed: “Absolutely yes it’s the time to experiment take it from someone who experimented and many others which allowed them to NOT be BOXED in to one sound and style… I can name tons who each of there albums sounded nothing like the one before.”
The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker joined the conversation soon after, and shared that she’s satisfied with the music she’s put together despite the process giving her anxiety sometimes.

“Yeup!!! I’m a little nervous… but I don’t care! I’m liking doing things that my ears want to listen to and reflecting the moods I been in. It feels good,” she wrote in a quote tweet.
Last month, the 31-year-old rapper made it clear that she won’t be letting her critics and doubters keep her from thriving as an artist.
In early March, she posted a screenshot of several tracks recorded for a song titled “Cunty” that she captioned: “January 2023 ….I really got like 100 songs.”
“I be working on this shit at 5 a.m. — you know I’m a night owl,” she said. “I promise y’all this year, I’m not letting my anxiety, I’m not letting what haters say, I’m not letting what fans say [discourage me] … If I do a song, I’ma just fuckin’ drop it. Well, I got no choice, because I’m dropping my album this year, so stay tuned for the announcement.”
The New York City native seems to have made tons of progress since 2022, when she revealed that her anxieties had been getting the best of her.

“I’m just a mom and I do have anxiety,” she told her followers on social media. “I’ve been having a lot of anxiety, because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids.
“When it comes to music and everything, I just be feeling like I don’t be liking anything. I feel like I got so many songs and I don’t like anything. I feel like nothing is good enough … And I got so much money saved up I just be like, ‘Yeah, whatever the fuck.'”
