Cam’ron has found himself in the hot seat after taking aim at Odell Beckham Jr. in a new episode of his hit sports show.

On Thursday (January 4), a snippet of a new episode of It Is What It Is made its rounds on social media. During the segment, Ma$e, along with his co-host Cam, can be heard criticizing Odell Beckham Jr. and calling him “zesty.”

“It’s OBJ, ya know, people say he’s a little zesty sometimes. I’m not going to throw that on him,” said Cam who, when prodded for context from co-host Treasure Wilson, referenced an Instagram photo in which Odell can be seen getting a tattoo on his buttocks by two men.

“OBJ has a picture up and let’s go to the picture while I talk about it,” he added as the video panned to a photo shared by the footballer himself, in late 2017. “Getting tattoos on his ass with two men behind him, tattooing his ass,” he continued.

“Gimme a close-up real quick. He like this Murda,” he added while mimicking OBJ’s larger-than-life smile. “With two n-ggas tattooing on his ass like this. And listen, I don’t have a problem with OBJ. I see OBJ. We say ‘What’s up?’ And, my thing is I don’t care what you doing,” he concluded.

The commentary was met with immediate backlash, with some viewers wondering where the industry vets find the time to reduce others.

“Why are these older generation men/old singers and rapper so obsessed with men younger than them and their sexuality? Seems a bit odd,” wrote one user.

“How is he Zesty tho because it’s a lot or hard gangstas that’s zesty behind closed doors and homes,” a second user inquired.

“So when men are comfortable with themselves, and give others the benefit of the doubt…it makes them zesty. I guess you have to act tough all the time [laughing face emoji],” a third comment reads.

Meanwhile, a fourth person proposed there are much bigger concerns to tackle, writing: “Can we focus on food insecurity, subpar schools, homelessness and violence in our communities?”

The controversy comes shortly after the Diplomats MC dropped a masterful freestyle over D’Angelo’s smooth “Cruisin” beat.
