Cam’ron‘s bank balance could potentially take a hit amounting to tens of thousands of dollars as he’s been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit.

According to legal documents obtained by AllHipHop, a photographer named Djamilla Cochran sued the Harlem native in April for his use of a shot they took back in 2003. The image, which shows the rapper-turned-reporter dressed in all pink while holding a flip phone up to his face, has since become one of his most recognizable images.

The person responsible for capturing it, however, is alleging that the 47-year-old has been using the picture on merchandise sold in his Dipset Couture store. All of this, they claim, has been done without their permission or appropriate licensing.

Despite being alerted for his improper use of the visual as well as being flagged numerous times by Getty Images, he has never responded. As a result, Cochran is proposing a default judgment of $57,000 in addition to being compensated for the legal fees, which totals to approximately $10,000.

Furthermore, the photographer has requested documentation of all the sales for products using the image so that they get paid for them.

Cam’ron himself has been thinking about filing a lawsuit against Melyssa Ford for defamation of character after she accused him of sleeping with girls under the legal age of consent. The ordeal started when he recalled taking a particularly wild trip to a brothel with Ma$e in the ’90s that involved a threesome.

Soon after, the former video vixen addressed the story on The Joe Budden Podcast and said: “Is there a distinct possibility that there may have been underage girls in that whorehouse?”

Though she has since apologized, Cam has refused to let it slide. He has been voicing his frustration on social media and even threatened legal action, saying: “I was gonna leave it alone, but then she said sorry. But the sorry wasn’t even genuine — that shit was fake.

“I don’t even know who convinced her to do this shit, but whoever did, that was smart because now if I sue n-ggas for defamation of character, I’m a sucker, right? Well, I might be a sucker. I don’t know yet, I’m thinking about it — pause.”

In response, Budden called Cam’ron’s bluff on the latest episode of his podcast, which dropped last week.

“I think all you n-ggas is goofy,” he began. “I think every last one of you n-ggas is goofy, I ain’t gonna lie. […] I take the high road because I’m not engaging with none of you n-ggas out there. Let me make myself perfectly clear: I don’t do back and forth with none of you n-ggas out there. I don’t do responding. I like to come in here, and I like to dictate.”

He continued: “I stand with Mel on all fronts, whatever it is. As a co-worker, as a friend, I feel like it’s our jobs up here to check it, which we did, with love. […] I’m not with none of the performative shit. You think you got a lawsuit? Call your lawyer.”
