Cam’ron has saluted Drake for being “one of the slickest talkers ever in rap” — something he feels the 6 God doesn’t always get credit for.
Killa Cam bestowed the lofty praise upon Drake on his and Ma$e‘s sports talk show It Is What It Is on Wednesday (October 16).

“Outside of this recent thing with Kendrick Lamar, Drake is one of the slickest talkers ever in rap,” he declared, referencing Drizzy’s perceived loss to K. Dot this past summer in their high-profile beef.
“People always overlook that because he’s light-skinned or he can sing or he’s from Toronto or whatever. That n-gga slick talk is ridiculous, man. He talk shit.”

The Dipset legend then highlighted some of Drake’s finest “slick-talking” moments, quoting lyrics from “Summer Sixteen” and Nicki Minaj’s “Seeing Green.”
“N-gga said, ‘I got Golden State running practice at my house / What am I about?’‘N-ggas at the DoubleTree step your suites up.’ He talk really, really slick.”

Cam’ron and Drake have long had a cordial relationship. Back in February, Cam defended Drizzy’s love of Dipset after he was clowned over his fandom.
The OVO Sound boss caught flack early last year for wearing the Harlem native’s classic pink fur when he performed at the Apollo and brought Dipset out as surprise guests.

In a cover story interview with GQ, Killa addressed the topic — and he just saw the moment as nothing more than Drake showing love.
“It’s no different from anybody else just trying to show love,” he said. “A rapper that’s younger than me who grew up watching what we did. I fucking grew up wanting to get a chain because EPMD had the gold link going on or Big Daddy Kane‘s rope chain. When it’s somebody of Drake’s magnitude, you ought to show love.
“A lot of people want to criticize and say he’s [too] commercial. He’s the modern day Michael Jackson that can also rap. You got to realize the type of run he’s on.”
Despite his admiration of Drake, even Cam’ron couldn’t give him the edge in his bitter feud with Kendrick Lamar.

The “Hey Ma” hitmaker discussed the battle during an episode of It Is What It Is in May, and when asked by Ma$e who he thought was winning, he replied: “Right now, man, I’ma be honest, Kendrick Lamar.”
Cam went on to criticize Drake’s “The Heart Part 6,” which he interpreted as the 6 God waving the white flag.
