For the first time in about 15 years, Busta Rhymes has a #1 album on the charts. Soundscan recently stated that The Big Bang was a big hit, as it topped the Billboard album charts for its opening week.
The album opened up selling about 209,000 copies. This follows a severly dissapointing opening week for 2002’s It Ain’t Safe No More.
That album only sold about 62,000 copies.
One artist who hopes to have similar success is Paris Hilton. Her new debut album, Paris already has some Hip-Hop production.
Expect to hear Scott Storch producing on the new album. Listeners may know Storch from his hits for such acts as 50 Cent and Ashanti. Storch may be headed in the Pop genre’s direction as he is currently also working with Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke.
Paris will hit stores in August.
