When Busta Rhymes’ bodyguard Israel
Ramirez tragically died at his video shoot last year. Police asked
questions, but it was reported that Busta refused to cooperate with the
investigation. This led a slew of anti snitching and anti-anti snitching
campaigns.
Recently, Ramirez’s family
spoke out about how they really felt for Rhymes.
“We really don’t want anything
to do with that man (Rhymes). He could stop breathing tomorrow, and I wouldn’t
care. Whatever happens to Busta Rhymes is not going to bring back my
brother,” Ramirez’s sister told a
newspaper recently.
This, apparently, does not bother Busta.,
“I doesn’t hurt me (what the
family say) because I don’t live with guilt. I didn’t do nothing. I didn’t
contribute to that negative (in any) shape or form,” Busta told MTV
recently.
“What I did, I offered my man an opportunity to make money to provide
food on the table for his family. We were in a work environment which was
supposed to be a controlled environment, a place where we were supposed to be
productive. We had children on the set. The environment was a completely
positive environment,” he added.
“As
far as certain family members feeling a certain way about me, I can never hold
that against them because everybody gotta deal with tragedy in their own way.
Especially when it’s direct personal tragedy. All I can do is try to be the
greatest support system I could be despite how they want to use me as a
punching bag. I’m cool with that.”
I know this is old but I feel obligated to answer this Busta Ryhmes should be ashamed of his self for not speaking up and getting justice for another human being further more everyone else on set should be embarrassed as well I always felt that the police should have slap everyone there with an obstruction of justice charge then maybe justice would have prevailed no snitching please if you know someone who is doing horrible and evil inhuman things you should cooperate with the law
